Today we’d like to introduce you to Chase & Esme Tucker.
Hi Chase & Esme, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
We’re both performers at heart, and when we got married, we knew we wanted to turn our shared passion for music into something bigger—a life, a business, a dream we could build together. We didn’t know what to do or even where to start when we started C&E Live Music Entertainment back in May but since then, we’ve grown into a fully established LLC.
What started as two musically driven souls finding each other has become a journey of creating, performing, and building a life around what we love most: music.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Nothing worth while in life comes easy. We are musical theatre majors with a passion for music, not knowing anything about running a business. We understand running a business may have its challenges which is why we are learning as we go.
A struggle is the reputation musicians have financially. We don’t provide the typical live music for the local bar that pays $100 for 3-4 hours of playing.. We provide a whole entertaining interactive show. A performance that makes such an impact on our audiences and clients that they book again or refer us to other people. We don’t just sell background tunes, we sell a performance that you wont forget, an experience worth our rate.
Starting any successful business requires a lot of money, we just had a baby in January so making sure that the risks we were taking would not affect our family to the point of no return was essential.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
We provide live music entertainment for every single type of event you can think of!
We specialize in the ENTERTAINMENT part. We have a very interactive show and even take requests. It is very much like a dueling pianos show if you’ve ever been to one. The energy is high the entire time.
Although we provide full band and solo musician shows as well, we are most known for our husband/wife live music duo (C&E). 90% of our bookings are our duo. With Chase on vocals and piano and Esme on vocals and the cajon drum, we give a fuller sound for events that don’t want or don’t have space for a full band.
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
We started as a family business and we intend to keep it that way. With the nature of what we do, expansion for us isnt necessary. We pride ourselves in handling every gig personally. We don’t want that to change.
We would like to gain enough popularity to where we get out of state bookings.
Hopefully by 5-10 years down the road, the name C&E Live Music Entertainment will be recognized nationwide.
