Hi Chrisbel , we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Growing up, the holidays were always a big deal in our house. My mom would beautifully decorate the tree and every nook and cranny she could. During my second year living on my own, I decorated my Christmas tree in navy blue and silver. One day, my landlord came over to fix something in my apartment and admired my tree. I remember him saying, “That’s really pretty! You should make this a business!”
That comment stuck with me, and I started researching what I needed to start a business. The rest is history.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Not at all! I think my main struggle was calculating how much decor I needed for each installation given that trees come in all different sizes and pricing for my services. There wasn’t much information to go off of. I ended up connecting with a few really nice Christmas tree decorators on Instagram. They gave me a few pointers and I went from there. Since then, I’ve come to a better understanding of the industry and my talent. Also, I think investing into yourself and your business is always a great thing and worth the sacrifice. This year, I look forward to investing into attending workshops and trainings to continue growing and learning in my craft.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a Christmas tree designer, bringing my clients’ visions to life with personalized designs. What I’m most proud of is seeing my clients’ reactions to their finished trees—it truly warms my heart to know they’re happy with something they entrusted to me.
What sets me apart is my commitment to working within every budget to achieve stunning results. I provide honest guidance, free of charge, to help clients align their expectations with their vision. My passion for what I do allows me to create designs that are tailored specifically to each client’s unique specifications.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I don’t believe either has played a significant role in my life or business. I feel truly blessed and highly favored. My work speaks for itself, and every time a new client reaches out through word of mouth, it reaffirms that belief.
