Check Out Christina Marder’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Christina Marder.

Christina Marder

Hi Christina, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.

I had just moved from Miami to Orlando 13 years ago. I had just had a huge surgery removing 150 tumors and had 8 blood transfusions. We wanted to grow as a family in a different location, so we chose Orlando. He was working at a beauty school and was married. I coached so many people in for-profit schools to complete a trade. I took my advice. I worked full-time and went to school at night even though I had been in the Spa industry at that point on the front office side in Sonoma and Napa before I moved back home. I still needed to get my credentials to be an Esthetician. I started working for different Spas in Orlando, where I ended up in Hand and Stone Waterford Lakes—I worked very hard since it was a new spa in an area without clients—built my books off word of mouth. My health battled against me again was developing fibroid tumors again, bleeding through clothes with clients. No surgeon wanted to touch me, saying give it a few years to shrink. 5 years in, a 16-pound tumor was removed just 2 years ago.

I feel so much better by having my life again. I work hard and have won two major competitions in the Nation. I am enjoying the fruits of hard work and dedication. Conquering has been my affirmation these last few years. Now, I am growing in my career which the sky is just the beginning. It is just a fascinating time in my life. My son and husband, if it weren’t for their support through this healing, exciting journey called life, I wouldn’t even be here. My spiritual journey has pushed me to awaken to truly help people who want to heal from the inside out. I focus on healing but also do much spiritual work as a Reiki Master and life coach. I also have a travel agency called @Acheworldtravelagency, so I stay pretty busy helping my friends and family enjoy their lives in different destinations worldwide. My dream is to have healing retreats in Puerto Rico and help heal women who have been through trauma.

Would it have been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Never has been a smooth road. When I met my husband, we were both on top of our careers, but due to being so sick and close to death, I had to get surgery that he helped me with. When we moved, I had enough to pay for rent. There was no gas, so I needed to microwave for hot water for a few months. My husband had a hard time finding work at first. I was recovering from the first surgery but worked over 40-hour work weeks. We made it happen, though, and through our journey of support from our parents and a few friends, we made things happen and grew daily. I underwent surgery for the second time during the pandemic, which helped me heal. We got pushed back financially, but I just returned to work harder. I overcame all my goals, and now everything is getting on track, which is the best blessing.

Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a Master Esthetician who loves partnering with my clients to show them what teamwork can do to bring them the ultimate skin results.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
I am being genuine and honest. A healing energy can bring my clients a sense of well-being from the inside out. I want to be the client’s favorite hour of the month for self-care.
