Check Out Christopher Caba’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Christopher Caba.

Hi Christopher, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
Growing up on the island of Puerto Rico, fines arts have always played a massive part in my family. I come from a family of singers, musicians, & painters, so naturally, I picked up a good artistic eye.

When I was 13, I joined a video creation class in Kathleen Middle School which led me to handle a camera at a fairly young age. While there, I learned how to create motion graphics, learned software like Final Cut Pro, created video treatments, production, and post-production. At age 16, my grandfather gifted me my very first camera for my birthday, which I proceeded to use every single day, using my close friends and family as my subjects.

Fast forward a couple of years of video creation throughout high school, I knew I wanted to do this for the rest of my life. Being that I was already doing work for local artists & businesses, the transition from high school graduate to running a full photography business was seamless. I have never looked back since.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It wasn’t always a smooth road. I come from a single-parent household, moving from house to house. While my mom worked 40+ hours a week to provide for my siblings and me, being able to express myself through art was my only escape from the world.

If it wasn’t for the struggles and the hardships, I would not be the person I am today.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a photographer! I started out using my close friends & family as subjects and later on shifted into concert photography which led me into the music scene being able to meet artists such as Chris Brown, 6lack, Ray J, and a few others.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
I love culture. I love seeing many people from all over the world and being able to listen to people’s incredible stories about how they got there, what other countries and religions are like, and the best part, new food!

One thing I hate about Orlando is the TRAFFIC! Especially exits 55 – 62 on I-4.
