Check Out Coco The Conversational Freak’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Coco The Conversational Freak.

Hello Coco The Conversational Freak, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I grew up in a religious Haitian household. The only thing I was taught about sex was it was for married people and for the purpose of having children. Growing up super naive I found myself sexually assaulted at a young age and coerced into sexual acts because of my lack of knowledge, self-worth, and guidance. I realized that my insecurities with sexual emotions and topics also showed in my relationship with friends, family, and lovers.

I had major boundary issues and had a hard time articulating myself which led to me never having the confidence to speak up and show up for myself. One year I decided to take a solo trip abroad to Mexico for a self-care/healing retreat called (The Unruly Retreat) and that was it!

For the first time in my life, I got to sit with myself around women who were on the same healing journey and every decision was based off of what I wanted to do, where I wanted to go, and how I wanted to do things. When I got the chance to get to know me, it unlocked a side of me I always knew was there but never gave the chance to shine through. After I flew back home, I ended my almost 7-year relationship and began to date me, and got to the root of my insecurities and fear- sex.

Me advocating my own desires turned into advocating and coaching other women to do the same and it has been a beautiful journey since then.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Not at all! It is a daily practice and unlearning insecurities and what you were taught to be is something that is difficult. When I first started my journey the fear of judgment was always at the forefront of my mind and scared me to death but I knew what it was like to live in fear already, I was ready to know what the other side of that looked like.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am known as Coco the Conversational Freak the sex confident coach. I teach women how to build relationships with themselves while building confidence in the bedroom. I am known for my “tell it how it is with a side of humor” ways and being upfront and honest when it comes to sexual conversations and coaching. I host a virtual sensual flex class every Wednesday at 7 pm to help women get in touch with their body while gaining confidence within the bedroom and with their selves. I also created a free private community for women to express themselves and have access to resources to help with their feminine & sexual wellness.

I am most proud of being able to become the woman I needed as a little girl and I can use my past experiences and knowledge to help others become that for themselves. I am raw and authentic in how I express myself, accepting who I am along with my flaws, and being able to just speak on what others are afraid of being judged on.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
In my industry I see a lot more women becoming aware of themselves and their bodies. I can see more people being open to confident conversations about sex, pleasure, desire, and how their sexuality can be multi-dimensional.
