Check Out Courtney Swank’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Courtney Swank.

Hi Courtney, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always been a creator at heart. My story started with journaling and writing as a way to heal myself, just trying to make sense of life, grief, and growth. Over time, those private words turned into poetry, books, and eventually a mission to remind people that they’re loved, worthy, and not alone.

I didn’t have a perfect roadmap. I simply followed the pull in my spirit. That pull led me to build spaces where self-care, storytelling, and publishing come together. I began publishing my own books, creating platforms for healing, and sharing the truth that growth is messy but beautiful.

Today, I’m still on that journey, teaching, creating, and holding space for others to tell their stories too. I see myself as a bridge, someone who took their own pain and turned it into purpose, and now helps others do the same. It has been equal parts faith, resilience, and creativity that got me here, and I am only getting started.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Smooth road? Not even close. It’s been potholes, detours, and a couple of flat tires along the way. But instead of breaking down, I learned to make magic out of it. That’s where the alchemist in me shows up. I take the mess, mix it with faith and creativity, and turn it into something that heals me and others. The road was rough, but it gave me grit, vision, and stories worth telling.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a writer, publisher, and self-care advocate. My work lives at the intersection of healing and creativity. I create books, workbooks, and spaces that remind people of their worth and guide them toward growth. What I’m most proud of is that I’ve done it on my own terms. I started with my own story and now I use what I’ve learned to help others bring their stories to life, too.

People know me for blending truth with creativity. I don’t just write, I create experiences. My books aren’t just words on pages; they’re invitations to heal, laugh, and see yourself differently. What sets me apart is that I refuse to play small. I show up as an alchemist, turning pain into poetry, self-doubt into art, and everyday struggles into spaces for self-care and community.

The work is personal, but it’s also universal. I believe storytelling can change lives, and I’m proud that my work does exactly that.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
Growing up, I was very shy, but deeply curious. I was the kind of child who would quietly figure things out on my own, I even taught myself how to put batteries in my toys at five years old. I didn’t talk much, but I loved to create, to dream, and to imagine. My world was alive with ideas, even if I kept most of them to myself.

I like to say I was a quiet flower that bloomed in imagination before I bloomed in voice. That quiet curiosity shaped me into who I am today, someone who sees beauty in silence, possibility in challenges, and creativity in the little things.”
