Today we’d like to introduce you to Daniela Navarrete
Hi Daniela, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I grew up in Ecuador, and my childhood was filled with beautiful memories. I was always surrounded by family, especially my cousins, and I spent my days playing outside, riding bikes, and laughing with friends in our neighborhood park. Those early years taught me to value connection, joy, and the simple things in life.
Like many girls, I dreamed of being an actress or a model. I even studied modeling and acting at one point and started working as a model when I was 15. I loved it, it taught me the value of hard work and how rewarding it feels to earn things through your own effort. Later, during an open house at a university, I fell in love with advertising, and that’s when I knew I wanted to pursue it. Although I didn’t finish my degree because I became a mom, I kept learning and staying active.
Fast forward to 2016, when I moved to the U.S. and decided to build a career in insurance. I’ve always loved helping people, and insurance gave me a way to guide them through some of the most challenging situations in their lives. At the same time, I kept exploring my love for marketing, something I had been passionate about for years. Back when social media was just starting, I loved experimenting with platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and Google+, helping friends and small businesses along the way.
A turning point came after my divorce when I realized I needed to fully embrace all my skills and build something for myself and my kids. I joined a women’s group in my county, where I found not just business connections but also friendships that supported me both personally and professionally. They gave me the confidence to step out, network, and grow my marketing business, while still helping my insurance clients.
Recently, I also started a podcast called G Latinas with two wonderful women I met through my local women’s group. The idea came from the stories we shared as friends, stories that we realized could inspire and help others who might be going through similar challenges. We talk about everything from motherhood and mental health to personal growth and relationships. It’s something that means a lot to me because I know how powerful it can be to hear someone else’s story and realize you’re not alone.
Today, I’m proud to balance both careers. What connects them is my desire to help people, whether it’s guiding someone through their insurance needs or showing an entrepreneur how to grow their business through marketing. I believe in being a partner and support system for the people I work with, and that’s what keeps me inspired every day.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It hasn’t been a smooth road, and honestly, I don’t think any meaningful journey ever is. One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced has been believing in myself, both personally and professionally. For many years, I carried the emotional weight of my home and family on my own. While my ex-husband was an excellent provider, he wasn’t a source of support, and I felt like I had to be the strong one for everyone. I got so used to being strong for others that I didn’t realize how much strength I truly had within me.
When I asked for a divorce, it was a moment of clarity. It was incredibly hard, but it made me see the strength I had built over the years and how I could use it to create a better life for myself and my kids. That period wasn’t just about surviving; it was about rediscovering who I was and what I was capable of.
Through those challenges, I learned that strength isn’t just about keeping it all together. It’s also about knowing when to let go, when to ask for help, and when to focus on yourself. Those lessons have shaped how I approach life and work today. I know what it feels like to face difficult situations, and that’s why I choose to be a source of support for others, whether it’s helping clients navigate insurance, empowering entrepreneurs through marketing, even big businesses to achieve their marketing goals, or just being there for my kids.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I do a little bit of everything, and I love it because everything I do revolves around helping people. On one side, I work in insurance, guiding clients through some of the most important decisions they’ll ever make. Whether it’s helping someone find the right health plan or assisting them when they’re navigating a medical diagnosis, it’s incredibly fulfilling to know I can make their lives a little easier. I’ve had clients come to me after struggling with bad advice from others, and being able to give them the right guidance is something I take a lot of pride in.
On the other side, I’m passionate about marketing. I specialize in helping businesses and entrepreneurs of all sizes. I know how overwhelming it can be to run a business and manage everything from accounting to daily operations while also trying to figure out marketing strategies. That’s why I offer options that meet them where they are, whether it’s teaching them how to use tools like social media and marketing platforms to organize and grow their business, creating customized strategies, or managing their marketing as their business evolves. I love seeing their progress, knowing that even small steps can make a big difference.
What sets me apart is my empathy and my personal experience. I’ve been in their shoes. I know what it’s like to build something from scratch, to juggle responsibilities, and to push through challenges. That’s why I don’t just see my clients as clients; I see them as partners, and I want to be part of their journey. Whether it’s in insurance or marketing, I strive to make people feel supported, understood, and empowered to move forward with confidence.
Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Something surprising about me is that, despite being very outgoing and enjoying connecting with people, I’m actually someone who loves staying home. I’m happiest in my home office, working in my own space, whether I’m dressed up or in my comfiest pajama pants. It’s funny because once I do go out, I become super sociable. I start talking to everyone, sharing stories, and hearing theirs. People who see me in those moments might never guess how much I love my quiet time at home.
Another thing people might not know is how much I enjoy organizing and planning. I’m obsessed with sticky notes, markers, and colorful pens, and I use them to keep everything organized. It’s my way of balancing everything I do and staying on top of all my responsibilities, both at work and at home.
Lastly, while many people know I love Disney, what might surprise them is just how much it means to me. No matter how many times I watch the fireworks at Magic Kingdom, I still get emotional. Every single time, without fail, I tear up. There’s just something about the magic and the memories it brings to life that touches my heart in a way nothing else does. For me, it’s not just a theme park, it’s a place that reminds me to dream, to believe in magic, and to feel like a kid again, even in the busiest moments of life.
