Today we’d like to introduce you to Felix Pinto.
Hi Felix, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My name is Felix Pinto, I am a Venezuelan emigrant, I traveled to the United States 5 years ago with my beautiful family fleeing from the Dictatorship implanted by the Regime of Dictator Nicolas Maduro, the current President of my country Venezuela. In my native country, I did graduate professionally in the Advertising and Marketing University Career, becoming the Youngest Editor of a print media outlet (PRACTIHOGAR GUIDE) to win the Award of the Colombian Association of the Graphic Communication Industry (ANDIGRAF). I was part of the sales team of one of the most recognized companies in the Food Industry (Mavesa) becoming the number 2 seller in the Territory of the Capital Region, and finally, I was a Merchant and owner of one of the Leading Distributors of the Electric Branch in the city of Charallave. St. Miranda, where I had to turn shut down the lights of the facilities where this prosperous family business operated due to the constant threats of the Dictatorship for expropriating our facilities. That’s how a cycle of my life is closed and loaded with a suitcase full of expectations, fears and challenges, I made the difficult decision to emigrate to this wonderful country, the United States of America, here I begin to take my new steps with great difficulty, it was to begin a new life, adapting as a family to a new lifestyle, a new language, a System totally unknown to me and my family group, but God always has a purpose for each of us and places people who help us on our path and guide me in this journey that is EMIGRATION.
I must thank Mr. Raul Del Hierro who was a fundamental part of my development since my beginnings in this country, and thus I began to create my first service company Quality Property Services FL, LLC, offering Residential House Cleaning services, Vacation Homes, Water Pressure Cleaning, interior and exterior painting for residential and vacation homes in a few words a HANDYMAN, I was called the orchestra man because I practically played all the instruments, I practically learned to do everything necessary in terms of house services, then I obtained the Certificated Pool Operator (CPO) license in 2018, and included cleaning from residential pools to my list of company services. A little more stable and more adapted to the American System, my mother invites me to start a course for Real Estate Agent of the State of Florida, which accepts and completes the course in person with my mother, which for me it is a source of pride because at his age he wanted and decided to learn a new professional career.
In this way, working from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to be able to pay the monthly bills of the house and in parallel to take the Real Estate course from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and studying for the exam of the state sometimes until 3:00 am I managed to obtain the License of Real Estate Agent of the State of Florida. I had to learn a lot about this Wonderful Industry until I achieved last year the MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR PRODUCER 2021 award from the Real Estate Industry in the State of Florida, gratitude that I owe to each and every one of my clients who trusted my knowledge, work and discipline to together achieve a fundamental objective in the families of each one of them, a source of satisfaction and pride for me and what makes me continue preparing myself professionally day after day in different areas not only in Real Estate but now as Repair and Personal and Commercial Credit Analyst, so I can guide and help many more people in our Hispanic community to achieve financial independence.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Being a migrant is one of the hardest struggles I have had to live, wait 150 days to be able to obtain a social security and a work permit, at the beginning it is as if you do not exist within society, you are many times a victim of exploitation from people who knows your situation and hat take advantage of your situation of not having documents, they pay you little for the work you do, but after you get it you feel more confident, waiting for a decision for my political asylum process has been the most desired thing for me and my family group. Believe me that it was here in the united states that I learned the meaning of the word sharks.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Currently, I am a real estate agent (realtor), I work with empire network realty I specialize in the buying and selling of residential and vacation homes, I have guided property buyers and sellers from Miami to Orlando Florida. Additionally, I am a personal and commercial credit repairer and analyst. I think I am known because people recommend me for my discipline, honesty, seriousness and especially my humility.
I am proud of my family and of my achievements obtained with effort, persistence and a lot of dedication.
I feel that my differentiating character is that despite having been a victim of people who take advantage of my emigrant status when I arrived in this country, today I can say that I am happy to help my Hispanic race.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
It makes me happy, to be able to enjoy quality time with my loved ones, to be able to have the joy of helping other people through my knowledge and learning of life. But I will feel really happy the day I can have a non-profit foundation to help children with terminal illnesses and children in a situation of abandonment and poverty.
