Check Out Felix Regis Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Felix Regis.

Hi Felix, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Briefly put, I’m the dopest hip-hop artist from Central Florida. I was raised in Orlando during the ’90s and 2000s until I went to south Florida for secondary education at FAU. During my junior year of college, I was accused and charged in a police brutality case, in which I was facing 20 years in prison for a crime I didn’t commit.

This incident has left many long lingering effects on my health, and life as I struggle to live with broken ribs and a few other nagging injuries. Luckily, my support system (family) was able to provide legal counsel to prove my innocence, or else I would probably still be locked away, and would have never become the artist I am today.

And just to make the long story short… this is a story of “faith.” Faith has brought me this far.

I come from a multicultural family as my mother is a Swedish woman who loves reggae, and my father is a Haitian man who likes to dance to salsa. I was born in Sweden but raised in Orlando. Swedish was my first language and I was a 2 sports star player back in high school for football and basketball.

Didn’t start music until after 23 years old.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Definitely not, failed relationships, homelessness, facing prison time, betrayal from business partners and former roommates. This has been one helluva ride, to say the least, and if I had to express the most important thing I learned along the way.

It would be “Never stop being a good person because of those who have wronged you, just change the people who have access to you, until everyone in the network reciprocates the same way.”

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a songwriter, engineer, recording, and performing artist.

I aspired to be a fashion designer as well as an author of motivational fiction and nonfiction books. Hope to also dabble in acting, screenwriting, and directing!

So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
On all social media platforms @akriteliq.
