Today we’d like to introduce you to Friezi Dorvilus.
Hi Friezi, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
The funny thing is I majored in Hospitality Management at the University of Central Florida, Rosen College of Hospitality, where I learned all aspects of Hospitality, including Event Management. However, after graduating with my degree in Hospitality Management, I never thought I would be doing Events! After school, I continued my career working at a hotel until one day. A close friend came along asking for advice for her wedding, which later turned into me planning her wedding. I later then realized; she exposed a gift in me that I never knew existed. I always knew I had a passion for hospitality, organization, service, and an eye for detail. Now and days I apply it all towards events. Our services are not limited to weddings, but we also provide event management and design services for corporate and social events.
Together with my husband, we are Dorvilus Events, a certified full-service Wedding & Event Planning company based in Orlando, Florida. As a team, we understand all aspects of events, and we are here to guide our clients along the way.
Over the years, we have touched so many lives. Each event is always an unforgettable moment that keeps us serving our couples and clients. Our mission is to offer a unique planning experience that brings refinement and grace to our couples and clients delivered with elegance, poise, and style.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It hasn’t always been easy. Getting my name out there wasn’t easy, but I realized my work will show for itself. I know that I must be diligent and continue to market myself as the business professional I want others to see me. I challenge myself every day and do not compete with others.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Although we are mainly known for our wedding planning, celebrations, and design services, we also offer corporate event management and meeting planning services for our corporate clients. Our goal for every event, identify the client’s vision and execute every detail from the beginning to the end. All while taking away the stress from our clients.
I am most proud of my growth. As a business professional, you should always invest in yourself to continue your education and learn new things in the industry. When I first started, designing was not always my strongest suit. However, I can plan and execute an event seemly with my eyes close, because I have always been a planner. Over the years, I continued to push and educate myself to find that creativity bug that most designers acquire to assist my clients and their vision.
