Today we’d like to introduce you to Honey Soibelman.
Hi Honey, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Laurel & Vine Decor started in 2022 when Honey began creating high quality styled vase sets, pairing contemporary vases with faux greenery and florals. From the start, the focus was really on quality and detail. A lot of time went into refining the designs, sourcing the right materials, and thinking through the packaging so everything felt well made and thoughtful.
As the brand grew, Eli later joined, and we started building it together. In early 2025, we began exploring wholesale, which naturally pushed us to rethink what else we could create. While getting ready for trade shows, we experimented with designing a few faux bouquet arrangements, something we were genuinely excited about given our shared love for flowers, color, texture, and styling.
The response at our most recent show was extremely encouraging and helped guide our direction forward. That feedback led us to develop our own line of premium quality permanent floral arrangements. Since launching our signature bouquet line, we have continued to expand the collection with single stems, vases, and fragrance accents, creating a more complete offering for the home.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s been a growth-filled journey and a really rewarding one. Early on, one of our biggest learning curves was getting the quality exactly right. We’re natural perfectionists when it comes to materials, construction, and finishing, which led to a lot of trial and error. That attention to detail has shaped the quality of our products, but it also meant learning when to step back, move forward, and make decisions that were more practical from a business standpoint.
Another big area of growth was learning to trust our design instincts, especially in the early days when much of this was new to us. Alongside that, we had to learn how to make business-forward decisions that would allow us to scale while keeping things running smoothly.
Being a family business added another layer to the experience. There’s a balance to managing shared home and work responsibilities while growing a company together. The upside is that we’re building something around a passion we genuinely share, so inspiration is constant. We’re always looking for new ideas to build together and for ways to support each other’s goals and projects. At the same time, we’ve learned how important it is to put work down and create space to fully focus on what matters most to us, which is our family.
