Check Out Jacqueline Amira’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jacqueline Amira.

Jacqueline Amira

Hi Jacqueline, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Well I’ve always been a nerd. A nerd that buried herself in dreams of being a superhero or a movie star. For the longest time I was told what I couldn’t do vs. what I could do. The majority of people who said these things were immediate members of my family. Unfortunately I believed them. It wasn’t until the pandemic hit that I started to find my way. I started asking myself the hard questions. I was also at my heaviest weight which was just short of 300 lbs. I started to do what I could from home. Then fitness organizations started to reach out to me. Eventually, I found my coaches. I ended up walking the WBFF runway as a Transformation Model twice in both Las Vegas and Orlando. I actually picked that organization because of former WWE superstar Mandy Rose. Once the WBFF shows were over, other doors started to open. I started getting modeling opportunities & magazine covers. After that I got hosting/MC opportunities. Now I have movie & tv role opportunities, I’m a guest at some of the conventions here in Florida as well I mean the sky is the limit!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Absolutely not! I was bullied a lot as a kid and I had a fear of speaking in front of other people. I would stutter a lot or not talk at all. My coaches have been a huge help with this. I would get homework assignments where I’d have to record myself and send it to them – like an audition tape. As far as the fitness thing goes, not everything works the way you want it to and a lot of patience is required. Sometimes I have it, and sometimes I don’t lol thankfully I have a significant other that gets it and me.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Well let’s see…I had a lot of fun playing a zombie huntress in Bocas vs Night of the Living Dead. Most recently I have been cast to play Quinn The Wicked on Arcadia: Origins of the Arkosios. I’ve never played a villain before… I hope I can be a good one! My character and I have a lot in common. Going through rejection, manipulation, being bullied etc… Most people aren’t necessarily born bad – they become bad through life, through experiences. Although I’m the “bad guy” I hope my character sticks around for a few seasons and everyone gets to know her as she wreaks havoc and chaos through out the show.

Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
If there is something you have dreamed of doing, go for it! Don’t let anyone stop you. It may seem scary at first but it’ll be worth it in the end.
