Today we’d like to introduce you to Janay Moore
Hi Janay, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I have always enjoyed sharing my life and experiences online for others to enjoy. I have been an avid social media user for over a decade. When content creating and influencing started to become profitable, I was sure to jump on the opportunity. I am doing what I love, sharing my day-to-day events and making an income from it, what else could I ask for. I will say it did not start off so great, I doubted myself in the beginning a lot. I was posting these videos and putting myself out there more than usual to only get a few likes or comments. I got in my head and told myself I couldn’t do it. Then I realized all these other people started out just like me the only difference was they were consistent, no matter how embarrassing or cringe the videos were, they kept posting and became successful. I told myself I would not give up on my dream and here I am today. Don’t get me wrong, I am a far way away from where I want to be, but I am so proud of myself the past couple months for really sticking to my plan and seeing the whole picture of what I am trying to accomplish. I recently partnered with a beauty company who has been the backbone of my newfound confidence. This group of women is beyond inspiring and keeps me striving to do better every day. Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been a smooth road; I have faced many hardships along the way. The root of my demise was definitely mindset. I let myself think too much into what I am doing and think about what other people would think. But at the end of the day, we have this one life, and I intend to make a mark on it.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am always looking for new content ideas. My socials and other influencers definitely have a big role in my content as I look for inspiration from them. I think my work is different than anyone else because I really am just my quirky original self, and I put that out there for others to see. I hope to make an impact in other girls lives who want to become a creator and are scared to do so. They can see me putting myself out there and draw courage from it.
We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
I am a huge animal lover. My life goal is to travel to Africa to work as a wildlife ecology specialist, I started college for this back in 2013 but life took me elsewhere. I intend on finishing my degree and making my dream a reality.
