Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasmine Thompson.

Hi Jasmine, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hi my name is Jasmine Thompson I was born in New Jersey and grew up in New York currently residing in the Central Florida area with my husband and children.

While growing up I have always been a planner at heart. I was always the friend/family member ready to plan a birthday or the next event. One night during a game night with some of my girlfriends, a conversation was sparked up about our personal goals. We began to discuss entrepreneurship and what each of us have a passion for. When it was my turn I expressed my passion for event planning. This was roughly between 2018 and 2019, I would have never imagined we would have been where we are today.

I was blessed with a mentor who has been pouring into me in abundance allowing me to grow and advance in the business. In addition my husband Eli who is also my partner has always been a cornerstone to my success. With God at the forefront in April of 2021, Jazzey Affairs officially became Jazzey Affairs L.L.C. licensed and insured in the state of Florida. We currently service Central Florida and its surrounding areas “Adding a Touch of Jazz to Each Event and Party”

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I would say this journey has definitely had some bumps in the road, which were learning moments. One of the biggest challenges we faced was the pandemic with Covid-19. Not only that we also struggled with friendships in business. The road has not been easy, but it has been absolutely worth it. We have learned so much as the struggles have all been teaching moments in business and life. We are thankful for it all, for if it was easy, it would not be worth it.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
We specialize in event planning/decor. What sets us apart from others is our dedication to our clients. We are most proud of our growth and how we are able to truly bring each client’s vision to life. We are known for our uniqueness and professionalism.

We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
We have learned to be patient and to cherish the ones you love. Covid-19 pandemic hits close to home for my family. It has truly been a time of reflection, personal and spiritual growth. We look forward to what the future brings and I would like to thank our current, returning and future clients for all of their continued support.
