Hi Jasmyn, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
As a teen, I got into nails and was fascinated by the creativity you could express through nail art. At the time, people didn’t always see it as a real career, so I didn’t pursue it immediately. After going through some personal challenges and realizing that life’s too short not to do what I love, I decided to go back to school and fully commit to what I was truly passionate about. That’s how I got started in the nail industry, and since then, I’ve been building my skills, my business, and creating experiences that make clients feel confident and cared for
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road. Like many entrepreneurs and creatives, I faced challenges along the way learning to run a business, managing finances, and building a client base from scratch were all tough at first. There were also moments where I doubted myself, especially because not everyone saw nail art as a serious career. But each challenge taught me something valuable—how to be persistent, resourceful, and confident in my skills.

I’m a nail technician and beauty entrepreneur with over seven years of experience. I specialize in creative nail art and making sure every client leaves not only with beautiful nails but also educated on proper nail care, including after-nail care. I also mentor kids who are interested in nails, encouraging them to pursue their passions early and showing them they can reach their goals regardless of what others think.
I’m most proud of building my business, Too Jazzy Nails & Beauty, from the ground up and creating a space where clients feel confident and cared for. What sets me apart is my combination of technical skill, client education, mentorship, and genuine passion for what I do.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
First and foremost, I give all credit to God—my faith and trust in Him have guided me and shaped who I am today. I’ve also been fortunate to have a mentor, Arisha, who encouraged me, shared her expertise, and taught me a lot about the nail industry. My family and friends have been an amazing support system, always cheering me on and believing in me, even when I doubted myself. And of course, my clients play a huge role in my success. Many of them have encouraged me, prayed with me, and trusted me to bring their visions to life. Their loyalty and support have been instrumental in helping me grow both personally and professionally.
