Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessie Burner.
Hi Jessie, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started out making music in my bedroom with a beginner program called Techno Ejay, while also drumming in a band we called Bloodroot in the Florida Keys that was quickly gaining traction. We landed a deal with Smokehouse Records and released our first album, A Disturbing Creation.
After high school, I attended ARTI (Audio Recording Technical Institute) to study audio engineering and production. I was working regular jobs for a few years, but eventually launched Studio 757 — first as a small home studio for my band, driven by a desire to learn how to record any project I was part of.
What began as a DIY setup has now grown into a professional studio where I record, mix, master, and produce music daily for both local and international artists. Alongside running the studio, I’ve continued to release music as Jessie Burner, blending my passion for artistry and entrepreneurship into one creative journey.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I work daily to keep doing what I get to do which is music and being creative.
Some days feel smooth like it’s all working in your favor and other days it feels the exact opposite. Like maybe your low on money and figuring out where your next client or gig is coming from.
It’s constant upkeep and a grind, but hopefully your efforts snowball into something that works for you over time.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am known for recording, mixing mastering and producing music.
My specialties are primarily drums and synthesizers.
Aside from my children, I am most proud of earning Florida’s best recording studio in 2022 in 2024.
I believe what sets me apart from the rest is that I’m not afraid to do good work without gouging people pockets because I know my name is also on the project. Therefore, the work should speak for itself and hopefully give you longevity as an artist and producer.
