Today we’d like to introduce you to Jordan Allen
Hi Jordan , we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
The concept of Slider’s Syndicate was created originally in 2019 during a Central Florida haunt called Dark Horizons. An event put on by Epic Entertainment Group. Myself and my cofounder Aidan Reese wanted to continue to expand on what had been started at Dark Horizons. We were a team of all ranges of talent and experience. Since then, the scareactors & sliders of Syndicate have performed at Howl-O-Scream at SeaWorld Orlando since 2021. As well as the Milk District’s Krampus Festival. In 2025, Syndicate has many events and opportunities planned and in development. All for the future of building a slider community in Florida and continue to grow the haunt community of Florida as well.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t always been a smooth journey. One of the largest obstacles was the Covid pandemic. The pandemic delayed the growth of sliding and the group’s growth as a whole. The future was uncertain. We also have had a few event opportunities that unfortunately did not happen. With these bumps in the road and a few others, we learned a lot and grew larger and faster than we initially assumed we would. We also are fortunate to have such a great partnership with multiple other groups and companies. Two of which being Slider Dynamix & Sinister Slide Gear. These partnerships and more have helped us tremendously through the many obstacles along the way.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am Jordan Allen. I was born and raised in Huntington Beach, CA and now live in Central FL. I am one of the main founders of Slider’s Syndicate. My main career is as a Firefighter Paramedic, but as I like to call it, my second career is in the haunt/ entertainment industry. I have performed at and managed at many different Halloween events in California and in Florida. Some of which being Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights Hollywood & Orlando, Seaworld Orlando’s Howl-O-Scream, and more. Iv been a chainsaw scareactor, slider, bungee scareactor, I’ve scared in houses/ mazes, as well as the streets/ scare zones. I also have been a performance captain, coordinator, choreographer, and stage manager. I believe what truly sets me apart from others, is my over 15 plus years in the Halloween/ Haunt entertainment business, my wide range of roles and positions, and most of all my passion for it all. I’m most proud of the fact that I have been able to help bring so many not only to love the skill of sliding, but also the haunt world as a whole.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Growing up I was a very active kid and I loved Halloween. Especially being born in October, it was kind of a given. I loved hanging out with my friends, going on adventures and just having new experiences. I relate my childhood to those kids on the show Stranger Things, minus the whole supernatural aspect of course. Iv always had an interest in all things Halloween, stunt work, movies/ cinema, spending time with my family/friends, traveling, and more.
