Today we’d like to introduce you to Jorge Diaz.
Hi Jorge, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
It all started back in Puerto Rico, growing up around cars. My father, who was a Master Technician, along with my uncles and cousins who were also mechanics, gave my brother and me a passion for cars. Fast forward a couple of years, and we started modifying our first car. We contacted a tuner who, on the way to the dyno, blew up the engine. Later on, we tried another tuner, but we were not satisfied with the overall results.
That led us to start learning more about tuning ourselves. Both my brother José and I began learning together, but in 2015, I moved to Florida for work. Still, the idea and plan to continue tuning were always there. In 2017, I started working on cars again in my garage and continued tuning.
My barber, Raul Serrano, who is no longer with us, was the first to trust me with a car in Florida and encouraged me to keep pushing to get a dyno. After that, we continued working on cars regularly, with José traveling back and forth from Puerto Rico to assist.
In 2020, is when I finally decide to open the shop, get a dyno and start selling aftermarket parts. Now in 2025 we have customers as far as New Zealand, we keep working on cars in Puerto Rico along with our Florida customers.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has been a mix of challenges and opportunities—a huge learning process overall. I’ve faced obstacles like building relationships and earning trust from major companies in the car scene, as well as gaining the trust of the local community. There have also been practical challenges, from acquiring permits and learning new systems to managing the business side to keep the operation running smoothly. On top of that, I’m always working to implement new ideas and improve what we offer.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I tune vehicles’ fuel injection systems through the computer, specializing in drag racing. I also sell high-performance vehicle parts and work side by side with my customers to help them achieve their goals—from choosing the right parts to providing support at the track.
I feel proud when I see my customers reaching their goals, breaking records, and celebrating those achievements together like a family.
I can’t say for certain what sets me apart from others, but based on the feedback I’ve received, it seems to be my passion for the sport. No matter the project or brand, if we can tune it, we’re going to give it our best.
Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
I like that it’s a small city without the fast-paced, rushed lifestyle. I also appreciate the location, since it’s situated between two major highways and close to multiple racetracks.
As for what I like least, I wouldn’t say there’s anything I truly dislike, but I do wish there were more car enthusiasts here. Even though we’re in a great geographic spot and near several racetracks, we don’t have as large a community of enthusiasts as you’d find in central Florida or even in Puerto Rico.
