Today we’d like to introduce you to Kambria Anderson.
Hi Kambria, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I was 30 years old, I had gotten married and we had purchased our first home outside of my hometown of Tallahassee, Florida. Then, we decided for professional reasons that my husband’s hometown of Orlando would be better for us. So, we sold our first home within a year for profit and we purchased another home shortly thereafter in central Florida. Amongst my circle of friends, I became “the property expert.” Then, one of my close friends stated, “Kam, you know you can become a real estate agent and it’ll be an easier process, because you’re an attorney and don’t have to take all the pre-requisite classes.” That peaked my interest. I now understood one of the greatest benefits of homeownership – which is creating generational wealth through equity earned in your property. At that time when people asked me about real estate, I always referred them to agents I knew in the community. However, my friend’s statement changed my thinking and inspired me to get in the business myself. I researched what I had to do to get my license, studied, took the exam and passed with flying colors on the first try. That was in 2016. Since then, I’ve gone on to help many families and businesses obtain and sell properties throughout Florida and some parts of Georgia through my referral network.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
My journey in real estate has it’s challenges. Just think, you’re helping people purchase or sell their biggest investment… their home or business. I found just like a legal client, my real estate clients needed education, counseling, and guidance. However, even when those services are provided, sometimes the deal does not pan out as hoped. Oftentimes buyers are outbid by other buyers and have to quickly gather their emotions and move on to the next property. While sellers find themselves sifting through multiple offers and quickly trying to find a new home at a reasonable price. In those times, which are plenty in this pandemic economy – I encourage my clients to stay positive, stay flexible and stay focused on the goal.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a Realtor with Absolute Realty Group, LLC. We’re a central Florida-based real estate brokerage, that also provides property management services. My Broker, Courtney Davis, is a Mom, Wife and Boss and inspires us all to keep a good work-life balance and keep the end-goal in mind. I personally specialize in educating First Time Home Buyers and Second Time Homebuyers about the central Florida market-specifically West Orange County and the Four-Corners Area. I enjoy working with clients and getting them to a level of comfort wherein they feel prepared to purchase or sell. Then, I help them do just that – with help from other experts in the field, from lenders to inspectors. I find it so gratifying to help buyers who never thought they’d be able to own a home, because of financial challenges in their past. I also love assisting sellers in selling their property, so that they can go on and pursue other opportunities on their life journey. It is the greatest!
I’m known for …. bringing a high level of professionalism, excellent customer service, strategy and efficiency to every deal. I always tell my clients when you close on the property, everyone gets paid from your transaction. Therefore, you should be treated with respect and dignity at every interaction.
What sets me apart for other Realtors …. is that I’m also an attorney and I’ve worked for many years in public service. So, I have a greater understanding of the legal side of each transaction and I have sincere love and patience for helping people in general.
I’m most proud of ……being recognized as a Million Dollar Producer by the Orlando Regional Realtor Association. I know that could not have been achieved without my amazing clients who trust me and refer me to their family and friends. For that, I’m so grateful.
I want readers to know … that I will utilize all of my experience and education in helping them reach their real estate goals. I go the extra mile for my clients by providing complimentary consultations, photos, videography, home preparation, etc. and my ultimate goal is always for the transaction to be a blessing to them and their families.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I was what my brother called a “Busy Body.” So, it’s no surprise now that I am a Realtor, Government Contract Coordinator, Attorney, wife and mother to two amazing toddlers. Back then I loved reading, painting and poetry. I was a member of Student Government, Girl Scouts, Future Business Leaders of America, Gospel Choir, Modeling Clubs and studied Latin. I also played softball. My mother definitely made sure I was a well-rounded kid. Thank you, Mom!
