Today we’d like to introduce you to Kay Hussein.
Hi Kay, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started up the business in 2018, I am a mom of two glamorous little girls so opening something like this was truly a reflection of their personalities. I have always dreamed about owning my own business and being my own boss, so when the opportunity came up, I didn’t think twice. My goal with the kids’ spa is to teach young girls the importance of self-care and self-love. Most of us start to do self-care as an older adult, we start to learn that being by yourself sometimes or even celebrating yourself is a key essential.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
This journey has not at all been a smooth road. I Opened up my physical shop in 2018 and was closed by 2019. I didn’t let that stop me though, I kept going even though I had some rough moments with myself feeling like a failure. My business was born in Delaware, which I personally think has one of the toughest crowd. People does not understand how business is ran. They want quality for the low and unfortunately that’s not how things work. I have learned a lot throughout my journey and I intend on teaching and inspiring others.

I am the owner and CEO of Blissful Moments Kids Spa. We specialize in girls’ spa and slumber parties and currently expanding into the wedding industry. We a mobile so we bring the party to our clients so less hassle for the families.
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
I define success as being financially free. Some might say the definition is achieving your vision or goal. But to me anyone can achieve their goals but can you be successful at it, can you make a living out of your goals/vision? So, I will say I am successful with my business when I do not have to clock in and out of someone else’s company.
