Today we’d like to introduce you to Kayla Miller and Kalista Caufield.
Thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, how did you get started?
We are sisters originally from Upstate New York who have always loved children. Our first babysitting job was with our neighbors. Years later, we both became full-time nannies, which has been a major part of our lives. Our first jobs as babysitters have now become our life’s work. When we moved to Orlando, Florida, two years ago, we started making so many connections with families that needed childcare that we couldn’t keep up with the demand, just the two of us. That’s when The Sister Sitters was created!
Alright, let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
After deciding we wanted to start a company together, we wanted to make sure that we have been adding outstanding members to our team. Families trust us with their pride and joy, and we want everyone to feel comfortable and at ease. The families requested us (Kayla and Kalista), but we couldn’t meet the demand. This has led us to search for nannies and sitters with the same qualities and experience. We take the stress away from the parents by having a list of qualifications every team member must meet to join The Sister Sitters team!
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
The Sister Sitters specialize in childcare needs, from full-time/ part-time nannies to various babysitting services. We offer families traveling into the Orlando area the opportunity to go out on a date night and our sitters will come to your resort/Airbnb prepared to explore and with a bag of activities to keep them entertained. We also offer theme park day sitters whether that’s just exploring with the kiddos or adding a sitter as an extra set of hands for their day! We consider ourselves the extra set of hands your family needs to make your life easier. You can count on our team to provide professional and reliable care. Not only are we here for all of the nanny and babysitting needs your family is searching for, but we also want to be a resource for families and nannies/babysitters. Your kids are our future, and we are here to help shape their minds and give them the resources and environment to dream, imagine, explore, and inspire.
