Today we’d like to introduce you to Kimberly Davis. 

Hi Kimberly, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Hello Luvs, my name is Kimberly! First of all, I want to thank OrlandoVoyager for this opportunity. This is my very first time being interviewed and I am so honored. To tell you a little about myself… I am a Wife of 30 years, Mother of 4 Sons, and Grandmother (KiKi) of 1 Grandson who loves sharing “All Things Home!” With the birth of my first son, I decided to stop working as a banker and care for my family full-time. Taking care of my home is a joy of mine. I call myself a Domestic Engineer (Homemaker)! I started a Youtube channel, Diva Designing on a Dime with Kimberly Davis, and became a social media influencer in 2015 as a hobby! Seven years later, it is growing into a business. In 2021, I decided to change the name of the channel to A Blessed Home with Kimberly Davis/to reflect more of my faith and home life. On the channel, you will see how I decorate my home, home improvements projects (DIYs) & how I organize my home on a budget! You will find shopping hauls, entertaining ideas, DIYs, cooking, cleaning motivation, decorate with me videos, product reviews & so much more… I want the channel to inspire you to fall in love with your home!

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?

No, it hasn’t been a smooth road/Life isn’t!

People think it’s easy to be a Youtuber/Influencer… It’s more to jumping in front of a camera and saying, “ACTION!” It takes a lot of planning, prepping, filming, editing to come to the finished product of one video! Since the pandemic, most of my family works from home, so trying to film around them is a task, but I do what I need to do to produce my videos.

If you are a Youtuber/Influencer, you put yourself out there for the world to see. People LOVE to sit behind their computers and be what I call, “KEYBOARD BULLIES” (Lol)! You need thick skin to deal with negative comments! Most of the time, I laugh it off and keep it moving!

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?

My specialty is in Homemaking/Interior Decorating} It is truly a passion of mine!

Being a homemaker, I put my heart and soul into taking care of my home and family. It is like running a business… Lots of work, long hours, lots of patience. I serve the people (family) who lives between my four walls… for that I am blessed! I wear the homemaker hat PROUDLY!

Through my Youtube channel, I have the opportunity to decorate for clients. I love making a home attractive by listening to a client’s wants and needs, planning the space, material research, and then completing the execution of the decorating process.

What sets me apart from others? I break all of the interior design rules! I mix patterns, I love using colors and mixing design styles just to curate a unique design.

I must say, I am not a professional YET/Clients trust my gift… I plan to take classes this year to become certified as an Interior Designer!

I love to decorate on a budget/Yes, I make a dollar stretch by shopping sales, estate sales, thrift stores, Facebook Marketplace, and more. People are amazed at the pieces I find and customize just to fit a home.

What I am loving right now is building fireplace walls and accent walls…

I believe a room or space should be decorated gorgeously to nurture our well-being and mainly tell a story of the people living in it!!!

What do you think about happiness?

Being BLESSED with an amazing Husband who supports me in all that I do and an amazing family makes me happy. So many women look down at homemaking, but it brings me such joy and I do believe it’s one of the hardest jobs/I wouldn’t trade it for all the money in the world… AND to be able to share with my Youtube Family how I take care of my home (which I call them my Blessed-ties) is a bonus!

Interior decorating brings such joy to my life because it allows me to create beauty in a room or space with special ideas. Every room should have a WOW factor/a bold and innovative focal point. When I see the face of the people viewing a space for the first time and they say, “WOW!” Seeing the joy on their faces brings me joy!

Whatever your job title is in life… a homemaker or a CEO of a big company, be the best version of YOU | Be You – Do You – For YOU!!!
