Today we’d like to introduce you to Lauren Breegle.
Hi Lauren, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I am 33 years old. I am the owner of Lauren’s Art Club, a paint and sip company in central Florida. I started my business a little over five years ago and honestly, I wish I would have done so sooner. At the beginning, I only had one venue in Ocala that I would meet with a group of artists-in-the-making on a monthly basis. It remained a part-time side gig for many years until I moved to Orange City, Florida in 2017.
I decided to branch out and expand my horizons. I began promoting with my graphic design background and going company to company to find venues to host the events. It has been so rewarding to meet so many different business owners, painters, and staff. It has also been a challenge that keeps me rolling out new ideas and innovative ways to keep people interested while organizing and promoting events.
When I’m not painting, I’m gardening, loving on my dogs, paddle boarding, visiting my fam bam, listening to audiobooks, arting, or catching the latest greatest episode of the new latest greatest show with my fiancée, Kristine Monti. Kristine has the business eye that keeps evolving. She’s the idea maker, I’m the creative executor. We work as a great team!
My absolute favorite part of any paint and sip event is that everyone has the same supplies and instructions, but their take on the artwork is totally different. I love seeing people’s personalities come through because the stuff that makes us unique can’t be replicated!
I have been in Florida for six years now and I have taken my once part-time gig to a full-time career. Your support by attending my events is what keeps me going. I thrive to always bring new things to the table and keep people interested.
Lauren’s Art Club specializes in paint and sip events with a FUN yet professional instructor that isn’t afraid to crush some dad jokes. We also like to give back and since I have three dogs and one cat, you can say animals are important to me. I continually donate to local animal shelters to contribute in any way I can.
I plan on expanding my company even more and opening up new territories in which we have venues to spread the paintings out to more people. I also am in the works of creating paint and sip kits that will be sent directly to your door. That way you can paint on your time.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
COVID-19 has been by far the biggest struggle for my business. However, with the help of my fiancee, we were able to provide alternative options. Instead of in person social events, we switched to an online platform through Etsy to sell custom photo paint by number kits that are sent directly to your door. Everything you need to paint is supplied in the box. This has opened up doors to many new ideas. Painting kits will be offered more and more in the near future. While you can still grab your custom Paint by Number kit on Etsy – https://www.etsy.com/shop/LaurensArtClub
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I have a local paint and sip company that also does custom paint by number kits that are sent directly to your home. Not only do we provide a fun painting event, but we do so while encouraging others to express themselves! I paint along with you and create the image advertised, however if you want to change the colors or the subject – I encourage it! I will help you create your desired color and subject. My favorite part about these events is that I give everyone the same supplies and instructions and everyone’s paintings turn out so differently. It’s amazing to see the art that everyone creates.
If you have a photo of your dog that you would like to paint, that’s where paint by number kits come in. You can send in any photo you’d like and I will turn it into a paint by number outline, mix all of the paints, and give you everything you need to paint this in the comfort of your own home.
How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
Do you have a venue that you think would be a good fit for paint and sip events? I’m always looking to expand my radius and add on new venues. Please reach out to me via email so we can set up an event! My email is laurenbreegle@gmail.com. I look forward to hearing from you and working with you.
Also, please check out our upcoming events on Facebook! We’re always adding new locations in different cities, so if we’re not in your city now, reach out. I would be happy to see if we can arrange it.
