Today we’d like to introduce you to Leslie Brooks-jones
Hi Leslie, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
As a youngster I was always creative and explored my artistic talents. Covid actually catalyzed my creative career as well as my painting apprenticeship with the local IUPAT. The skills that I honed throughout my painting career along with the additional time pushed me to pursue my artistic vision.
Everything and everyone that I’ve experienced and encountered thus far has helped me grow into my present self and for that I’m forever grateful!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Absolutely not, although every bump and curve along way molded me into what I am today; Determined. Strong. Resilient and steadfast.
As an emerging artist I received a lot of no’s and denials even rejected by other artists who I admired. Still to this day. Yet here I stand, open and ecstatic for all of the wonderful opportunities and connections that are for me.
What’s for me is for me!
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a mutifaced creartist. Best known for my explorative textures and intuitively guided paintings under the moniker “Le Desiree Atelier. I’m also a creative intrapreneur as I run my own painting company “AMBILUX LLC” which specializes in scenic artistry and provides commercial painting services.
My authenticity and original artwork sets me apart from others although I’m not one to compare myself. Nothing is new under the sun.
