Today we’d like to introduce you to Maria Estefania Paez.
Hi Maria Estefania, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’ve always had a creative soul. For as long as I can remember, I’ve been drawn to expressing myself through art—painting, designing, taking pictures and creating videos. I was always the one in the family with a camera in hand, capturing every little moment.
Eight years ago, I came to this country to start from scratch. It wasn’t easy leaving everything behind, but I came with the hope of building a better future. Still, that creative spark in me never faded.
In 2025, something shifted. I made the decision to stop holding back. No more fear, no more doubt—I chose to fully embrace my passion. I committed 100% to becoming a photographer and videographer.
Since then, it’s been an incredible journey. I’ve been part of beautiful weddings, unforgettable events, and I’ve met so many amazing people along the way. I’m deeply grateful, and I feel like my dreams are finally taking shape.
This is just the beginning—and I’m ready to keep growing and say yes to every opportunity that comes my way✨
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It’s definitely been a challenge balancing everything. Working an 8 to 5 and then switching gears to shoot photos or videos right after—that takes energy, time, and a lot of heart. There have been so many days where I’ve left work just to head straight to a session or an event, running on nothing but passion and purpose.
I’ve had to make a lot of sacrifices—giving up rest, missing out on time with loved ones, pushing through even when I was exhausted. But I truly believe it’s all going to be worth it. Every long day, every late night, every moment I chose to keep going is part of something bigger. It’s part of building the life I’ve always dreamed of🫶🏻
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a photographer and videographer with a deep passion for storytelling through visuals. I specialize in capturing authentic, emotional moments, whether it’s at weddings, events, or during personal photo sessions. People often describe my work as warm, genuine, and full of life.
What I’m most proud of is how far I’ve come, especially considering I started from scratch in a new country. Every step of the journey has been built on hard work, heart, and a real love for what I do.
What sets me apart is my ability to connect with people. I don’t just take photos; I create experiences. I make people feel comfortable, seen, and celebrated in front of the camera. I believe that’s what makes the final result so meaningful.
This isn’t just a job to me. It’s a dream that I’m building with intention, creativity, and a lot of soul💘
What are your plans for the future?
My next big goal is to open my own studio. I want to create a space where anyone who wants photos can come and feel inspired, comfortable, and excited to create something special.
I’m looking forward to having a place that reflects my style and vision, where I can bring ideas to life and offer an even better experience to my clients.
I’m really excited for what’s ahead and ready to keep growing both creatively and professionally.
