Today we’d like to introduce you to Michael Scott Peterson.
Hi Michael, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My wife and I are originally from New Jersey. We came down to St. Augustine for our Xmas vacation and loved it. By the time we had gotten back from our vacation we were already making plans on moving down here. We moved to Ormond Beach in 2015 from PA basically because I got tired of shoveling snow and most of her family had been here for a few years.A few weeks after our vacation My wife(Bonnie) had taken a really bad spill delivering food to one of our home meal catering clients. They immediately admitted fault and settled us out of court the next 9 weeks we planned and by April 22nd we were in Sunny Florida.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
During the day I run Premium Blend Brand a Lifestyle clothing and accessories company I created a couple years after we had been established here, and by Night I’m a chef at Mama Foo Foo’s in Daytona Beach, Fl, Not to toot my own horn but I’m amazing with knives and ingredients. I can take anything and make a dish with them.
How do you define success?
Leaving it all on the table be it business or my job. I have to be honest working for restaurants here in Florida has been a constant struggle to be successful especially when companies hire you to do a specific and change all the parameters of said job everyday. But I mean I’m here! And it’s Obvious Someone Noticed! I came up in a Foster Home in Newark, NJ and my parents always told me to Grind until you no longer have to introduce yourself. When I was young it didn’t really mean much to me at the time. Here I am in my 40’s remembering that phrase and having it ingrained in me. Its part of what keeps me motivated to leave a legacy worthy of household name status. When we came down here I knew I wanted more, More than what I had growing up, More than What I had living in Pennsylvania, more than what I had 5 years ago when I started Premium Blend Brand.
So I say all that to say what my Parents used to tell me
