Today we’d like to introduce you to Mita Fene’
Hi Mita, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
After moving up to Orlando from south Florida, my senior year of high school, I went to college and immediately started an internship that essentially grew into a career in the entertainment industry. I’ve worked in the industry for many years gaining experience in many fields mostly behind the scenes whether it was hair and make up, photography, directing, branding, marketing, production, artist development, songwriting, modeling and so much more. The journey through my career essentially pushed me from behind the camera to in front of the camera to showcase my full talents and abilities as a creative professional. There journey was tough to get to this point. After having to battle with life struggles such homelessness, anxiety and depression. Although i haven’t fully recovered, Ican say those struggles are what got me here today and has turnt me into the strong woman I am proud to be today.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
At this point my life is an untold movie, there are some many struggles that I’ve endured in this journey. Just my childhood alone! Me and my siblings help my mother adapt to the culture and language while still having to figure out are own identities which only resulted in us growing up pretty fast. My mother came to this country by boat as a Haitian refugee at the age of 18 she had me her third child by the age of 28. Things were different in my home, my oldest sister was the head of household and by the time I turned 18 which was just a few months after moving to Orlando, I was kicked out with no where to go but I never contested my position and I had to leave and figure things out on my own. Which leads down a rabbit hole of trauma from molestion to jail time to an excruciating battle with obesity and mental health issues and just trying to find or create a stable safe place because I was fighting a losing battle with my depression. But God kept through it all and brought me right back to my path as an entertainer.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?

I also feed the homeless once a month with OneraceHumanrace.org in partnership with the Christian community service center In downtown Orlando. I help small businesses and independent artist in developing their brand and marketing strategies to propel growth in business and enhance their visibility with my company MFFM | Mita Fene’ Fresh Media and I also produce and co host on various podcast shows here in Orlando. I genuinely have a passion to make others smile and get lost in a moment to create new memories, leaving their reality for just a minute or two fuels my heart, so much I’ve literally chosen not to eat just to able to fund a moment for others and I’ll do again and again. I genuinely feel like it’s my soul purpose in life …. My mental never been any healthier than it is now. I don’t know if it sets me apart from others but if there’s is other people that feel how I feel I’d like to meet them.
Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
I meditate and pray a lot. A book I keep close to me is the Celestine Insights by James Redfield. I don’t watch standard tv, movies or shows too often probably because my favorite app is YouTube lol. Most of time is dedicated to my clients, my fans and my music.
