Today we’d like to introduce you to Natasha Hernandez.
Hi Natasha, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I come from humble beginnings wanting to create memorable moments for all the children in my family. I have two children. One of my children, my son, has Autism and we struggled a lot to have birthday parties at local child’s play areas. So I started with completely transforming our entire living space to look like it was a scene from their favorite shows or a page out of their favorite book. I started my own Facebook page dedicated to my dessert tables and event decorations and pretty quickly, I was asked to transform a dining room into a sweets table/photo area for a babyshower. It was such a rewarding experience. From then on, I have been blessed with referrals and repeat clients. My goal is to make each event unique and always making sure my hard work shines through each detail. Lifetime memories is what it is all about for me.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I am still very much in the growing stages. I have a full-time corporate job. I basically work a 9-5 to be able to create the type of events that my clients are requesting to help them stay on budget. I learned quickly that it takes money to make money. I have been funding my passion with the hopes on reaching a broader audience that would have the budget to really let me show what I can do. I continue to create on any budget as I know what it is like to want to celebrate those milestones and not be able to afford it or even knowing where to begin. Every parent should be able to see the smiles on their children’s faces as they walk into to their custom-themed party room that was just their living room the day before.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I actually work for a well know auto auction and have been employed with the company for over 12 years now. I have been laid off multiple times. The 1st time around, I became pregnant with my son and then right after my daughter. I spent every day transforming our home into their own little worlds. I have even had the privilege to set up a babyshower for one of the General Managers of my corporate job. I have always been a problem solver and everyone that knows me knows that I refuse to give up and will always be ready to help.
How do you think about happiness?
What makes me happy is to know that I brought a smile to someone’s face. Seeing that 1st-time mom to be walking into her babyshower that I executed for her is amazing. I think it may be because every event that I have decorated for has been like if it was my own. I have gone through those milestones from babyshowers, birthdays, anniversaries, turning 40! I want everyone to enjoy those moments as much as I have been blessed to
