Check Out Nestor Alvarez’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nestor Alvarez.

Nestor, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Our restaurant concept started when a friend of ours asked if we had an idea for a restaurant. This happened 60 days ago. We immediately visited a potential location where we could bring a Latin American Breakfast & Brunch experience to Orlando; it was clear that International Drive was the right choice. I and two partners agreed that this would be an amazing concept to bring to International Drive and the Universal surrounding area. Having grown up in Orlando, breakfast had never driven me to this iconic section of International Drive.

Once we decided to move forward with bringing a fun, vibrant, and trending brunch restaurant to the area, the search for the correct name and the correct Executive Chef began. We wanted something that represented American and Hispanic foods with flavorful tastings complementing the classic breakfast-brunch options. This is how Egg-Celente was born! The name can be read and interpreted in both languages: English and Spanish. Next came the search for the right chef. After interviewing and sampling multiple chefs, Yamil El Azar (@Mrmealsorlando) was a clear choice. His flavors and presentation made it an easy choice.

With the addition of our Chef, it was time to get the doors open our doors to the public. Our daily brunch also offers a live DJ on Sundays. From the moment, we opened our doors we hit the ground running – the number of walk-ins to what is a new concept for the area was incredible. Currently, on Saturdays and Sundays, without reservations, you can expect anywhere between a 45-60 minute wait. Our reviews and feedback have been stellar and have established repeat clients in a very short period. Being a part of such an iconic area, we feel we are bringing extra value to our lodging partners. The guests have voiced this feedback as well.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?

We know the struggles and we look for them! You help others get what they want, you automatically will be blessed back.

Risk-taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
We look at risk as opportunities that need to be evaluated individually. Nothing ventured nothing gained. Calculated.
