Check Out Noelle Park’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Noelle Park.

Hi Noelle, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Doing creative makeup looks has been an important hobby to me as long as I can remember! Until roughly about a year ago I never knew I could make a career out of something that I love. I was working in healthcare for five years and burned out as can be. I was debating changing my career to cosmetology, and I had reached out to a local salon owner and asked if she needed any help so I could work in a salon setting while going to school for Cosmetology. She told me to come in and chat, I’ll never forget what she said to me,” I’ll do you one better, how would you like to be my apprentice?”. Since then, my life has never been the same! Michele Sieb has given me the greatest gift, a career I love! My only regret? Not doing this sooner! I’ve never felt this “me” my whole life! Even through the hair loss issue I’ve recently had to go through, all the girls at work have been so supportive, and think I look like a rockstar with the bald look! My friend/ coworker Jessica has made some incredible hair color designs on my(little) hair, to help me feel more confident throughout it all! Last year, if you would have told me I’d be here, growing my social media making new creative makeup looks almost every day, working in a salon doing hair and makeup every day, realizing my talent and passion, and discovering how awesome it is to be uniquely me, I would have laughed in your face! But here I am, loving my life and grateful for every day! I couldn’t have done it without my amazingly supportive husband, who pushes me to do my best every day, my mom, and the girls at my salon!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Life tends to have curve balls thrown at you, that you never see coming… in the past few months, I’ve struggled with losing my hair. Working in a salon setting, clients expect their hairdresser to have awesome hair. So, for a while, I wore a wig in hopes to conceal the embarrassment, and sadness that I felt, but after about a month, I couldn’t take it anymore. I had made the decision to shave it off and start new! It was very hard at first to feel comfortable in my own skin. But my good friend Jessica made some amazing designs on my head, and made me feel like a rockstar! Because of that, I feel more confident, and sexy than ever!

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a cosmetology apprentice and makeup artist! In the salon setting I do hair, nails, and makeup! When I get to be a more seasoned cosmetologist, I plan on specializing in extensions! Helping people achieve their hair goals is the best feeling in the world. Because I was once there too with very thin, fine hair unable to get that beautiful Hollywood-looking thick hair! I remember extensions made me feel so confident! Being able to give that confidence to somebody else is so rewarding! I love watching my clients bounce out of the salon with a new head of hair! I’m also a small TikTok influencer, I love to make tutorials, show off my skills, and help educate little tips and tricks so others can do what they love as well! From my small hometown to the city I live in now, everyone has known me for my makeup! I started when I was 13-14! My makeup is what I’m most proud of! What sets me apart from the rest, is that if anyone needed help with anything, I’m one message away! Whether it be hair or makeup! Helping people feel confident, and comfortable in their own skin Is the best feeling! Kindness makes the world go around!

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
Two key characteristics I find are important to my success is to be kind and empathetic, you never know what someone would be through! Being able to relate so someone, and project a kind smile can change someone’s day instantly!
