Hi Norma, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work life, how can you bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
The idea began when I used to plant things around my house, and friends and family began to tell me how beautiful they were. After a while, I became more creative, mixing plants and decor around the house. After making some decor for loved ones, I looked into selling them. After hearing about farmers’ markets, I believed that was the perfect place to start. It was my pride and joy to set up and decorate my stand. And it made me so happy to see how happy the plants make people feel. Because everything is made by hand, I feel my plant décor expresses love, patience, and beauty around your home, which is why I believe it is so successful.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The hardest part was the beginning. I wanted to make so many beautiful designs with many beautiful plants. But each plant is unique, and you must care for them differently. I needed to study the identity of each plant, incorporate design and functionality to bring my ideas to life, and show the beauty of the plant around the home. And make sure they are healthy.
Let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I love to partake in many creative projects and create beauty around me. From things like house design, baking, and planting, I am known for my keen eye for detail. I feel proud of my hard work and dedication to my creative projects, especially my plants. It’s my passion that sets my work apart. You can feel it when something is done with love.
What are your plans for the future?
In the future, I want to see my business grow and learn how to do more designs to captivate more clients and art and plants.
