Born Justin Martin in New Brunswick, NJ, Paperboy Newz embodies the essence of
resilience, perseverance, and ambition. Growing up in a broken home and navigating the dangers
of street life in Trenton, he faced challenges that most would find insurmountable. Yet, instead of
falling victim to his circumstances, Paperboy channeled his experiences into his music,
becoming a powerful voice for those who have had to fight for a better future.
Music was always a form of escape, but it quickly became a purpose for Paperboy—
especially as he connected with the stories of legends like Tupac, DMX, and Lil Wayne. His
blend of high-energy trap beats and gritty lyricism speaks to anyone who’s had to rise above
hardship. Whether confronting gang life, family struggles, or the pressures of survival,
Paperboy’s authenticity shines through every track.
In 2017, Paperboy’s journey took a significant turn when he was drafted into the Global
Mixed Gender Basketball Association (GMGB), rubbing elbows with some of the biggest names
in entertainment. This opened doors to the music industry, where his raw talent quickly garnered
the attention of key A&Rs. By 2018, he was on the radar of major labels and building ties with
figures like Kodak Black, Trick Daddy, and reality TV stars like Tameka “Tiny” Harris and
Trina.
But it’s not just about who he knows—it’s about the music he makes. Paperboy’s songs
reflect his battle to break free from the constraints of his environment, making him a relatable
figure for anyone who’s had to hustle to achieve their dreams. Whether performing at iconic
venues like The Novo in LA or collaborating with influencers, he’s continuously expanding his

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s never a smooth road when you have something worth holding on to. There will always be struggles and door slammed . The key is to keep going and knowing what your product and message is worth. Not necessarily financially worth.. but actually worth to you. How many doors can you go to until u find the right one, without giving up? Eventually if u stay consistent the door you need to open will be there.

Well at this stage in my life I’m known more for my music and social media presence as well as my ties with
(smack url/ URLTV) . I’m a upcomming hiphop artist and ceo of Kulture Baby Apparel .
I’m probably most proud of myself…
Just because of the growth and changes I’ve made in my life over the last few years. I’ve mentally grown into somebody I can be proud of and be confident that I’m making the right choices n decisions for my future.
I think what sets me apart from the rest is , no matter how many times you knock me down… I always get back
Up. I’m not afraid to fail , because I know how to adjust. I know how to adapt and learn from my previous mistakes. A lot of ppl don’t take time to criticize there lifestyle or way of thinking. I’ve had to be my biggest critic , fan, supporter, and enemy and was still able to figure it out.
Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
Really anything I have questions too, I just go to Google or YouTube. Lol I feel like that’s kind of became the new dictionary, encyclopedia & atlas. ( lol ) jus completely taken the fun out of it . (Lol)
