Check Out Pastors Chris and Natalie Young’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Pastors Chris and Natalie Young.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Our fun story began as two teenagers actually enjoying volunteering at a non-denominational church in Brooklyn, New York. We individually fell in love with God first and then we fell for each other. As our hearts bonded, we became husband and wife. As life happened, having beautiful children, work, relocating to Florida, etc. we could not shake an overwhelming Godly sense of His supernatural calling on both our lives to be in leadership positions which took place at in every place of worship we attended in New York and Florida. We completed numerous ministry training programs in New York and then graduated from a 2-year program at International Seminary in Plymouth, FL. We both were honored to be ordained as Pastors in 2003. After serving in various Central Florida communities, we just loved seeing great changes for good in individual’s lives and seeing their families being encouraged. This was a regular occurrence wherever we would go and throughout just about every week, every month and every year. We couldn’t not shake it when we asked God regarding starting a ministry where we believe God gave us the unique name “Resplendency” in December 2010. Since the pandemic, we have experienced a shift and we are so honored to be a source of encouragement not only locally to our Central Florida community but throughout the world. For us, it is awesome and exciting to continue what we love to do virtually entering homes worldwide encouraging our viewers.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
We definitely have had our share of struggles but truly experienced God’s faithfulness in provisions and breakthroughs. Because we are a non-for-profit organization, we have to trust others to partner and support our mission. The most wonderful experience is seeing how you can have faith that God will take care of all of your needs.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I must start by saying we are known for having the unique name “Resplendency” and saying “Stand Out and Shine” before each of our livestreams or pre-recorded broadcasts. We have visited other cities and states and people have said “Resplendency … Stand Out and Shine” to us which puts a smile on our faces. To know you can impact someone else’s life in a positive way is so rewarding. It is an honor for us to encourage whomever is teachable with messages from the Holy Bible. We have had the honor of bringing encouragement to others for several years now. To know we are now impacting many more virtually is incredible. Something we are most proud of is to see how others who support what we do will help us raise funds to feed those in need, support widows, local pregnancy center and our local healthcare heroes. During the pandemic, these efforts did not slow down but increased as we have supported local restaurants needing more patrons and delivering lunches and dinner for the entire staff at a local emergency room. We encourage not only spiritually from the Bible but also encourage whomever is teachable to take care of themselves physically (eating better) hoping they can enjoy life more with less physical ailments and to be better all-around citizens.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
So much makes us happy. Hearing people inform us that due to our various broadcasts, they have peace in their hearts and minds. Can’t put a price on inner peace and having a good impact in someone else’s life. The rewards of knowing we can help someone by providing meals, saving a life and praying for others is worth all that we do.
