Check Out Reinaldo Costales’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Reinaldo Costales.

Reinaldo Costales

Hi Reinaldo, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I was Sitting with my wife at the dinner table looking for places to travel to, and she told me” let’s go to Guadalajara” and i ask her “what is there to do there?” and she told me there was a Tequila Town and the distilleries which are only found in Jalisco Mexico, I replied ‘well i am not a big drinker” and she said “it is not about drinking is about appreciating and exploring the flavors and the aromas that Tequila has to offer without using added mixers” so I agree to the trip, In Guadalajara we did a tequila tour and from this moment on I fell in love with Mexico and the Tequila Culture. I decided to learn more about tequila, its process and its origins. Therefore, I began a journey exploring aromas and flavors of tequila, so decided to do some online researching for reviews on tequila, but in Spanish and I did not find any bloggers with Spanish content. In that moment an idea came to me, I needed to educate myself and learn everything possible about tequila so maybe I can start a blog with reviews mainly in Spanish because I figured their probably was more Spanish speaking people that were interested in Tequila but like me couldn’t find any reviews in Spanish. So that’s when I started making video reviews about different brands of tequila and different types. A lot of people started reaching out to me, asking for information and thanking me for providing this content in Spanish. I always give my honest and humble opinion, I’m not sponsor by any of the brands, I truly do it from the pure passion I have for tequila

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Like everything it has its ups and downs but I would say that when it comes to learning the material, it’ s easy for me because when I’m interested in something I become very invested in the subject. Yet at the beginning it was rough or hard for me to be able to stand in front of a camara and talk about the information I had gathered, so sometimes I would become discouraged when I had to redo the video reviews all over again, but then I learned to just be myself and talk like if I was talking to a group of good friends, that helped with stage fright.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am very proud of having a Bachelors Degree in Accounting, and what sets me apart from others is that in the accounting world you always look for the source of the problem which has taught me to apply the same principles in life.

Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
My advice for people just starting is to never give up and do not become discouraged with the obstacles you will encounter because almost everything in life has obstacles and do not let anybody tell you that you can’t achieve your goals or dreams.
