Today we’d like to introduce you to Rosey (Rosimely) Sera
Rosey, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My journey has been nothing short of transformative, and I’m honored to share a piece of it with you. At the age of 7, my family and I left Venezuela and began a new chapter in America. Adjusting to a new culture and learning a new language was daunting, but it shaped the resilience and determination that drive me today. Those early years were filled with challenges as I struggled to balance my Venezuelan roots with a new identity, but pushing through that discomfort was what ultimately led me to growth.
From a young age, I knew I had a creative spark. I started content creation and creative direction when I was 13, capturing moments with friends, curating outfits, and experimenting with photography. But like all journeys, it wasn’t straightforward. After college, I moved to Dallas, where I lived for four years with my amazing husband and truly began my influencing career. That’s where my vision started to come to life, and I began building the relationships and brand partnerships that paved the way for my future. Yet, I remained practical. Back in college, influencing wasn’t the powerhouse it is today, so I focused on earning my degree in communications with a focus on public relations, which catapulted me into my current role at AdventHealth as a social media strategist after working in the tech industry as a senior public relations manager.
Today, I get to live in Orlando and experience the best of both worlds—working in a field I love while also being a fashion and beauty influencer. Collaborating with major brands and being invited to New York Fashion Week twice in one year, has been a dream come true!
I share this story because I believe that by taking aligned action and facing our fears, we unlock extraordinary potential. Stepping out of my comfort zone and embracing the unknown was the greatest gift I gave myself, and it’s allowed me to build a life beyond anything I imagined. Whether it was moving to a new state, starting a career in a new industry, or establishing myself here in Orlando, taking action is what creates opportunity, growth, and ultimately, fulfillment.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t been a smooth road by any means, and I think that’s what makes the journey so meaningful. One of the earliest struggles I faced was when my family moved from Venezuela to the U.S. The culture shock, the language barrier, and the challenge of finding my identity in a completely new world were overwhelming. Adapting to a new environment while holding on to my roots felt like walking a tightrope, but it shaped the grit I carry with me today.
When I began pursuing content creation and influencing, the industry wasn’t as developed as it is now, which meant it wasn’t as lucrative or widely understood. I had to navigate uncertainty, balancing my passion for creative direction with the practicality of building a stable and sustainable career. I decided to focus on my education, earning a degree in communications, and while that opened doors, it also meant putting some of my creative ambitions on hold. That decision was tough because I was constantly asking myself whether I was on the right path but trusting god was what kept me going.
After college, moving to Dallas brought its own set of challenges. Starting my influencing career there wasn’t easy—I had to build my brand from scratch, network, and push myself to be seen in an increasingly competitive space. There were moments of self-doubt, times when opportunities felt out of reach, but it was in those difficult moments that I learned to lean into perseverance.
Even today, juggling what I like to call my little “Hannah Montana life”as a full-time career in healthcare and fashion content creation has its struggles. Finding the balance between the two worlds can be difficult, especially with the fast pace of both industries, but the challenges are what make the victories that much sweeter! All of that as well as ensuring there is enough family time, maintaining my social life, rest and everything in between. Every setback has taught me that resilience and adaptation are key to overcoming whatever comes your way.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
As a fashion and beauty influencer, my work is all about creating authentic, engaging content that deeply resonates with my audience. I specialize in fashion, beauty, and lifestyle, but what truly sets me apart is my ability to connect with my followers on a personal level. My audience has been with me since the very beginning of my journey, and they’ve joined me every step of the way as I’ve grown not just professionally, but personally—particularly in terms of self-confidence.
I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with iconic brands like YSL, Winky Lux, Valentino, etc, which has allowed me to bring my creative vision to life in ways I’d only dreamed of. However, what I’m most proud of isn’t just the brand partnerships or the once in a lifetime opportunities—it’s the deep, genuine connection I’ve built with my audience.
My self-confidence journey has been an open and ongoing conversation with my followers through my podcast Rosey Days which will go into season 2 soon. I’ve shared the ups and downs, the moments of self-doubt, and the breakthroughs that have helped me grow. What makes my content special is that my audience knows they can trust me to be real. They’ve been there from the very beginning, witnessing my evolution, and that shared experience has created a strong, supportive community.l which I will forever cherish!
In an industry that can sometimes feel overly curated, I’ve always made it a priority to stay true to myself. Whether I’m styling outfits, reviewing beauty products, or simply sharing moments from my everyday life, I focus on creating content that’s relatable, inspiring and genuine.
How do you think about happiness?
What makes me happiest is a mix of quality time with the people I love and the experiences that fuel my passions.
My husband, family, and friends, mean everything to me, and connecting with them on a deeper level brings me a sense of fulfillment. I value intentional moments—whether it’s spending time with them, traveling together, or just enjoying good food in each other’s company.
I also find happiness in staying active and exploring new places. Traveling opens up a world of experiences and perspectives, and I love discovering new destinations and meeting new people. Styling and capturing life through a lens, bring out my creativity, and that’s something I’m always drawn to.
And, of course, my golden retriever Finnley brings me endless joy. There’s nothing like playing with him after a long day to put everything in perspective. At the heart of it all, it’s the meaningful connections, the creative outlets, and the simple joys of life that make me truly happy!
