Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Zambrano
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My mission it to make each day memorable, I am dedicated to making every day count. I do that by celebrating something special daily. My specialties are theme parks, themed outfits, cosplay, and dance. I’ve learned to tell my stories through social media. My strongest format is short form reels. I enjoy expressing myself through 10 second transitions and visual effects. Lately I’ve had a good eye for photo ops that at are trendy and relevant to the times. I have been doing reviews on these to make others aware of photo spots (like the Ozmopolitan at Lake Nona Wave Hotel) and give creative ideas of how to dress up and pose. It’s important to me that people have a good concept of the photo they want to take because pictures last a lifetime.
I also love searching all over Orlando for murals that serve as back drops to my celebratory posts and call myself a “mural dancer” . I also love recreating posters of popular local shows like Orlando Ballet and Dr. Phillips Theater.
I started back in 2022 as we were getting out of Covid and I felt like days blurred one into the other. I felt like people needed direction as to how to differentiate their days and be bold to celebrate the little things.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It’s a challenge to post daily, but it keeps my brain fresh and always thinking. It has also taken time for me to grow a following. Finding new reasons to celebrate can seem seem to “jump around all over the place” but little by little I have been able to incorporate clear themes that have translated into a larger following amongst different social media platforms.
I have also made a challenge to spend little to no money on my celebrations so that it keeps my brain sharp on repurposing items that I already have in order to adapt a “greener” approach.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My strength comes from rejection. I always saw myself as a professional dancer. I auditioned so many times for a parade/character performer role at my favorite theme park that I can’t keep track. I was not hired by casting directors so I sought out roles in marketing that would allow for artistic expression. I struggled to stand out.
From there I decided to take my education seriously and received a Masters in Business Administration which helped me land an amazing role in Sales Planning. I still never got the artistic side out of my system so I turned that into my “5pm to 9pm” side hustle while still working my 9AM – 5PM. I have been balancing the two since 2022. I also continue to train as a dancer at a level where I could audition to be a professional dancer if the opportunity were to present itself.
Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
I remember being fascinated by glow in the dark books. I would hold the pages onto the light at night to absorb the glow, then run out to my backyard and read the books under the moonlight in a bush that I called a “jungle” to feel extra immersed. I realize now that was probably not the safest idea to do in the dark at night, haha!
