Check Out Shavon King’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Shavon King

Hi Shavon, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always enjoyed baking and cooking as a young child. One day in 2019, I decided I really wanted to learn how to make decorated sugar cookies. I joined several Facebook groups and that’s where I started.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I definitely wouldn’t say it’s been a smooth road. Decorated sugar cookies have become wildly popular at parties and events and there are so many bakers in the area. One struggle is learning not to compare yourself to others. Also, figuring out how to stand out in the crowd.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
My day job is a credit analyst. I review credit applications for hospitals and doctors looking to purchase medications.

Currently, I would say I’m known for cookies lol.

I’m most proud of my children and granddaughter. They are the reasons I work so hard to have a successful business.

I have an extensive background in customer service. I try to make sure to provide superior customer service when a potential or returning customer contacts me.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
The ability to create beautiful cookies that taste good. Having a quality product will ensure that they keep coming back.

Pricing:

  • Custom cookies start at $60 per dozen
