Check Out Shayla Snipes Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Shayla Snipes.

Hi Shayla, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself
I have always had this gift, this creative side of me. It had been lying dormant, waiting for me to fully tap into it.

August 2020 is when I fully committed to it. When I finally realized that there was truly more to me than I knew. I had been laid off from my job because of Covid. I am a single mother with no job and I prayed and prayed about it and my mind lit up like a light bulb and I have been creating none stop ever since.

I am where I am today with my business because of God and my son, Elijah. He has been my motivation, my reason to keep pushing, to stay in the fight.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has NOT been a smooth road.

There have been so many challenges for me because I knew nothing about having, running, or understanding a business. It was hard trying to figure out how to price my product and trying to figure out how to get out there so the world can see how amazing my items are. Trying to get out of my comfort zone, having to be more social with others when I’m an introvert.

It was all so uncomfortable, but oh so worth it.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a designer. I create priceless art one item at a time. I bling out wine glasses (various shapes and sizes), I make coasters, keychains, tumblers. I create plate settings for dining room tables, I make trays, I bling out candle holders coffee mugs and so much more.

But, I am mostly known for my wine glasses and coffee mugs. I am most proud of the smiles that I put on others’ faces. They give me their vision and I execute it to the best of my ability and the response I get when they see what I have done is EVERYTHING!

What were you like growing up?
