Hello Somos la Semilla USA, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
We are an official Ricky Martin Fan Club, and we’re all about doing good. We started as a small group of friends passionate about our artist and his social work! That’s why when the chance came up to become a branch of Somos la Semilla Argentina, we jumped at the opportunity.
Our fan club in Argentina has also been focused on giving back to the community through volunteer work since 2015. Since their beginnings they have been contributing to “Merendero Arcoíris” en Buenos Aires (a public charitable organization that provides food for free or with a small contribution to low-income people in need) by donating, cooking, and serving food!
Somos la Semilla USA’s main objective is to support Ricky Martin’s philanthropic efforts against human trafficking by promoting awareness and volunteering, but that’s not all we’re about. We also promote positive thinking, healthy well-being, and personal growth through our daily content on social media!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
We are all about social work and making the world a better place, one step at a time.
We’re passionate about volunteering and coordinating events that make a difference, but sometimes it can be difficult getting everyone’s busy schedules to line up. It can be tough getting enough volunteers for events, especially when everyone’s schedules are busy. That’s our biggest challenge!
Despite the challenge, we’re determined to keep pushing and growing our impact. We are always looking for Ricky Martin fans passionate about his social work willing to give back and make a difference too, and volunteer for a cause we all care about.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
We are always searching for volunteer opportunities that align with our artist’s vision and social work commitment!
Recognized globally as a philanthropic leader, humanitarian and activist, international superstar and UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador Ricky Martin is a passionate defender of children’s rights, and has supported UNICEF’s efforts, especially in child trafficking, around the globe for years.
More than 20 years ago he witnessed human trafficking while traveling in India and that’s how the Ricky Martin Foundation was born; as president & founder of the Ricky Martin Foundation, Ricky advocates for the well-being of children in critical areas such as social justice, education, and health.
Ricky Martin believes in inclusivity, and that all rights are human rights; last November he joined the Global Citizen Summit as a guest speaker for his Foundation and human rights! As a way to support our artist’s efforts against human trafficking and continue his philanthropic work, we support and love to collaborate with organizations aligned with that line of social work.
We also intend to make a difference by promoting positive thoughts, healthy well-being, and community service through our social media platforms! We take pride in our volunteer work since we were established in 2022; because in such a short period of time, we have collaborated with the Down Syndrome Association of Central FL and the Ricky Martin Foundation on more than one occasion!
The impact of volunteering is immeasurable, from helping those in need to building lasting connections within our communities, and that’s what will set us apart! We are a group of passionate Ricky Martin fans committed to making a positive impact in our community.
What makes you happy?
Smiling faces, warm hugs, and pure joy! That’s what volunteering is all about.
Giving back to society and spreading happiness through our actions: makes us happy! Giving our time and energy to make a positive difference in someone’s life is a priceless feeling. And of course, going to a Ricky Martin concert brings us incredible happiness! Music, dancing, and Ricky Martin! What more could we want? Sharing moments like that with friends and family makes life so much better.
