Check Out Stanley Belizaire’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stanley Belizaire.

Hi Stanley, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Growing up, I was always interested in all things technology. I remember being on set for the morning announcements in elementary school flipping through screens and adding transitions. I didn’t realize that this experience would spark something.

Soon enough, I found a camera in my hand. I was always the one behind the point and shoot camera, taking pictures on family vacations, after church, and after weddings. I enjoyed it! It was something about being behind the scenes that interested me the most.

Fast forward to high school in 2013, I attended Edgewater High School’s Magnet program and was determined to be enrolled in the Creative Photography class. At Edgewater, I learned the basics of shooting film and digital and worked alongside some of the most creative people I know.

I was finally getting the hang of using the camera and grew passionate. I was always looking to shoot and grow my skills just for the sake of being creative. So almost every day after school, I was shooting. A few friends and I would discover a new spot around Orlando and would be each other’s subject on each shoot. It was fun! The camera became my paintbrush and the world was my canvas.

My passion for photography did not stay within the four walls of Edgewater, my family and friends outside of school noticed and was extremely supportive of my craft. In 2016, my parents bought me my first camera – a Canon Rebel T5. I was ready to take on some gigs. Soon enough, I was asked to shoot a small wedding in Orlando. This was my first professional experience as a creative photographer. That night, like any other wedding for a photographer was interesting, but I remember having the time of my life. That’s when I knew this is what I wanted to do: use my craft to help others tell stories.

In 2017, the idea for Prime Projects Photography was established. I envisioned being the premium photography company that family, friends, and professionals can depend on. We did everything – weddings, birthday events, church events, engagement photos, family photos, branding photos, headshots, etc. We did everything and we enjoyed it!

5 years later, we’ve photographed for 100+ occasions and serves 200+ clients. In 2021, Prime Projects rebranded to become Prime Projects Media. We are now focused on serving small businesses and brands, providing creative solutions to help produce content and establish a strong digital presence through photography, video/film, graphic design, and web design. I am excited for what’s ahead for Prime Projects!

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road at all. Every new experience came with its struggles. There was social anxiety, fear of new experiences, doubt, and the challenge of getting people to believe in my vision. Nonetheless, I’ve learned life lessons through my journey as an entrepreneur and grateful for every stages.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I consider myself a creative professional. I am known for my digital photography work in portraiture. I enjoy shooting portraits because I get to meet people and hear about their different stories. I’m most proud of the trust I am able to gain from meeting new people. Having a stranger stand in front of you and photograph you can be uncomfortable, but I’ve been able to be personable and connect with my clients which has made the experience much more enjoyable.

What matters most to you?
Purpose matters to me. Everything serves a purpose. I always try to remember my why and make the effort to understand everyone else’s because this way I can serve them better. I believe in a God-given purpose, so when I get the opportunity to support someone’s purpose, I’m satisfied.
