Check Out Stephanie “Fanny” Machado-Texeira’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie “Fanny” Machado-Texeira

Hi Stephanie “Fanny”, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started tattooing thanks to my fiancé, brothers, and cousin. Art has always been a big part of my life, ever since I was four years old, I’ve been drawn to painting and drawing, whether it was recreating what I saw around me or sketching my favorite characters. When I was finishing elementary school, my parents enrolled me in art school, which helped refine my skills and solidify my passion for creating.
My brothers were the first to encourage me to start tattooing, probably hoping for some free tattoos along the way!
My fiancé played a huge role by buying me my first professional tattoo kit, complete with a machine and everything I needed to get started. But it was my cousin who truly pushed me to take the leap. She was my very first “victim,” and from that moment on, I was completely hooked.

Now, after a few years in the industry, tattooing has become an essential part of my everyday life. It’s taught me to think deeply about every decision I make, just like a tattoo, every choice has a lasting impact. I’m incredibly grateful to my family for pushing me in this direction because this journey has allowed me to grow not only as an artist but also as a person.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There’s no truly smooth road in life, but knowing how to create art beforehand and being surrounded by great artists has definitely helped my learning process. Of course, I’ve had my tough days—moments of doubt, frustration, and challenges—but those struggles have only pushed me to become a better artist and a better version of myself. Every obstacle has been a lesson, shaping both my skills and my mindset in this journey.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a tattoo artist who loves blending different styles while maintaining a clean and vibrant aesthetic. I specialize in neotraditional, neojapanese, new school, and surrealism—bringing bold details and dynamic compositions to every piece. What people appreciate most about my work is the level of detail I put into each tattoo, making every design feel unique and alive.

I don’t get attached to any single tattoo I’ve done because I believe in constantly evolving. My mindset is that every piece I create should be better than the last, always pushing my skills further. What sets me apart is my ability to merge styles seamlessly while ensuring that every tattoo is not just visually striking but also thoughtfully crafted for the person wearing it.

Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
What I love most about Orlando is that there are so many hidden gems throughout the city. Whether it’s a cozy coffee shop with a unique aesthetic or a park so full of nature that it feels like an escape from the busy city, there’s always something new to discover. I really appreciate how Orlando has a mix of vibrant city life and peaceful natural spaces.

If I had to choose something, I’d say the traffic and constant construction can be a challenge. It feels like there’s always a new project happening, which can make getting around a bit frustrating. But at the same time, I understand that growth and development are part of what makes the city thrive.
