Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie Morales.
Hi Stephanie, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My passion for makeup began in 2011 when I slowly began “playing” with products… by 2013, I began having working with clients… In 2017, I moved out of Puerto Rico with my family after Hurricane Maria hit. For our daughter’s health care…
And in 2018, I decided to study Makeup artistry and have been taking many courses and masterclasses since… just to perfect techniques and also keep learning new things, I always say I am a forever student. I never want to finish learning, there’s always something new we can learn!
The transition to FL was not easy since I had to build a clientele all over again, and I’m getting there slowly but surely. I love my job helping my clients look their best. Seeing the smile and excitement in their faces when they look in the mirror is so fulfilling.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The transition from PR to FL was a big struggle, adjusting to a new living space plus trying to do what I love most which is makeup and not having that clientele that I left back in PR.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Apart from makeup, I also style hair, but I mostly specialize in makeup. My other passion is photography, so I love mixing both makeup and photography. I am mostly known for my attention to detail, I work very hard to reach my client’s highest satisfaction. If my client is happy so am I. All the way from Brides to just a date night for me, they hold such a great value since their trust is being put on me to enhance their beauty even more!
I also give my clients the option for me to arrive at their location (extra cost), but most love it since it helps simplify their day! I am very proud of where I am today, it has not been easy having a daughter with a disability and being there for her 24/7 plus trying to focus on my work, but I thank God that I am where I am and everything happens for a reason! It’s all about learning and growing.
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
I feel that communication is KEY, just like any relationship. Having communication with my clients is a must, that’s where we build trust; I learn things that can be substantial at the time of the appointment. It helps my client and it also helps me! I am very responsible with timing and always maintaining my product’s tools and area clean and disinfected!
