Taira + Andy, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I DO Elopements & Events was founded in 2021, inspired by our own wedding journey. After a 14-day road trip, we chose to say “I do” in the breathtaking landscapes of Colorado—an experience that solidified our love for adventure, travel, and intimate weddings.
With over 10 years of experience in the hospitality industry, we’ve always had a deep passion for creating unique experiences. As we connected with couples—both from Florida and out of state—who wanted to break away from tradition and design a wedding that truly reflected them, we knew this was our calling.
Elopements and micro weddings became our focus, allowing us to explore incredible locations and craft unique, personal celebrations. Today, we take pride in offering all-inclusive services that take the stress off our couples, ensuring their special day is seamless, meaningful, and completely their own.
We’re honored to be a part of so many love stories and can’t wait to continue creating magical moments for our couples!
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Like any journey, building I DO Elopements & Events has had its challenges, but every obstacle has helped shape us into the business we are today.
Starting out after COVID presented its own set of hurdles—weddings and events were shifting, and couples were looking for more intimate, meaningful celebrations rather than large, traditional gatherings. While this shift aligned with our vision, we had to navigate the uncertainty of a changing industry and establish ourselves in a market that was still evolving.
Another challenge was educating couples on the beauty and ease of elopements and micro weddings. Many couples initially felt pressure to follow traditional wedding expectations, and it took time to showcase how elopements could be just as special—if not more—because they truly focused on the couple’s love story.
Logistically, we also faced the challenge of curating trusted vendor teams and discovering unique locations that fit the intimate and adventurous vibe we wanted to offer. Traveling for weddings and coordinating all the details from afar required a strong network and seamless communication, which we’ve worked hard to refine over time.
Despite the challenges, our passion for creating one-of-a-kind wedding experiences has kept us moving forward. The joy of helping couples craft a day that is truly theirs makes every challenge worth it!

We offer full-service planning, day-of coordination, all inclusive elopements and microwedding packages, ceremony and reception decor, officiant services, and much more making us a one-stop-shop for couples who want a seamless and beautifully executed wedding experience. Whether it’s a romantic elopement in the mountains, a beachside ceremony, or an intimate garden wedding, we take care of all the details so couples can focus on what truly matters—each other.
What sets us apart is our deep connection to adventure and personalization. Our journey started with our own elopement after a 14-day road trip, and that experience fuels our passion for helping others embrace non-traditional, intimate weddings. What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
Over the next 5-10 years, we see the wedding industry continuing to shift toward intimate, personalized, and experience-driven celebrations. Couples are moving away from the traditional, large-scale weddings and instead focusing on what truly matters to them whether that’s a breathtaking destination elopement, a micro wedding with their closest loved ones, or a unique experience that reflects their personalities.
Some key trends and changes we anticipate:
Rise of Micro Weddings & Elopements – More couples are choosing smaller, intentional weddings over grand affairs. They want meaningful moments, stunning locations, and stress-free planning rather than following outdated traditions.
All-Inclusive, One-Stop Services – Couples are looking for vendors who can handle multiple aspects of their wedding to simplify the process. Our all-inclusive approach—covering planning, coordination, décor, officiating, and vendor connections—aligns perfectly with this trend.
Destination & Adventure Weddings – More couples will embrace destination elopements and adventure weddings in places like national parks, mountain ranges, and beachfront settings. Travel and experiences will become a central focus rather than big ballroom receptions.
