Hi Tiffany, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
Our podcast started as a book club with 4 friends who love the Harry Potter series. We had a Harry Potter feast and discussed a few questions about Sorcerer’s Stone. Hours went by, and Sarah came up with the idea to start a podcast. Swish and Flick was born that day.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It’s been smooth for the most part. We have had to learn how to record and edit, which came with growing pains. We also started vlogging for YouTube and had to learn how to edit videos too!
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
We are a podcast found on all podcast listening platforms. We have a YouTube channel with our vlogs from universal studios and the Wizarding World of Harry Potter as well as other Harry Potter events around the states.
We host meet-ups in different cities when we visit because we have listeners all over the US as well as other countries.
We also do live events such as Leakycon, Wizardly World of Kent and have done trivia for a local library in Cleveland, OH.
What sets us apart is our loving and accepting listening community and Facebook group.
We are one big Swisher family.
Our listeners call themselves Swishers.
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
Exploding! Podcasts and Vlogging are here to stay! Adding video to our content could be a step in our future. We look forward to more live recording events.
