Check Out Victor Luis’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Victor Luis

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Born in the vibrant landscape of Puerto Rico, I was immersed in a rich tapestry of culture and creativity from an early age. When my family moved to Central Florida, I found myself navigating a new world filled with opportunities and challenges. Despite the changes, my passion for the arts remained a steadfast part of my identity. Throughout my school years, I dedicated myself to various artistic pursuits—each project fueling my desire to express myself and connect with others.

Now, with over 14 years of experience in the creative industry, I’ve built a career that reflects my diverse interests and skills. My journey has taken me through a multitude of roles, allowing me to collaborate with global brands and support local businesses and events. As a creative director, marketing strategist, and brand strategist, I thrive on the excitement of bringing ideas to life and telling compelling stories.

My work spans several industries, including publishing, fashion, and fitness. One of my proudest accomplishments is authoring a children’s book that is evolving into a merchandise line, blending storytelling with creative design. This project exemplifies my belief in the power of imagination and its ability to inspire young minds.

Creativity, for me, is not confined to one medium. I express myself through photography, sculpture, and painting, each offering a unique avenue for exploration. I am constantly seeking growth and new experiences within the creative space, and I love collaborating with local artists who share my passion for innovation.

As I look to the future, my goal is to continue pushing boundaries in my work, finding new ways to engage with audiences, and fostering a vibrant community of creatives. My journey is a testament to the idea that creativity knows no limits—an ongoing adventure that I am excited to embrace every day.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My journey hasn’t been easy. Growing up without a father figure brought me a lot of pain, but I channeled that hurt into fuel for my creativity. In the early stages of my career, I found it challenging to simply create; gaining people’s trust with their projects was tough. To overcome this, I focused on building a portfolio, experimenting and exploring different styles until I discovered my voice. That creative freedom eventually opened doors to paid opportunities, propelling my career in exciting new directions. I have learned that while the road may be challenging, every twist and turn is an opportunity for growth. I’m excited to continue embracing the adventure, creating meaningful work, and inspiring others along the way.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a creative director, brand strategist, and storyteller specializing in marketing to help businesses and fellow creatives build their brands. Known for my clear vision and ability to execute it, I believe it’s essential not just to dream but to take action and apply oneself. I’m most proud of my continuous creativity and my commitment to living in the moment. What sets me apart is my knack for creative problem-solving. I truly love what I do and embrace it every day, finding joy in helping others discover their own visions.

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
I believe that being a risk-taker is essential for creativity. I often say that to “think outside the box,” you first need to understand the box and use its limitations to fuel your imagination. It’s through this process that risks can turn into rewards, as you push yourself to make it work. I embrace risk every day—whether it’s with my paycheck, my jobs, or my creative projects—because it’s all part of the journey.
