Hi Yamillette , can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’m a proud Puerto Rican and a soon-to-be 26-year-old who moved to Florida in 2017 with nothing but drive, passion, and a dream. I started from scratch no family nearby, no outside help just a deep belief in myself and my vision. Since then, I’ve launched Leela’s Sweets, a home-based cookie shop inspired by the flavors and love I grew up with. I’m also a pastry and baking student, constantly honing my craft to bring even more creativity and quality to what I do. Alongside that, I recently started a photography business and stepped into the world of content creation. I’ve now been a full-time content creator and TikTok Shop affiliate for two years, proudly collaborating with brands that genuinely value my work and voice. Balancing motherhood with entrepreneurship, I share life with my incredible husband and our two-year-old daughter, who inspires me to keep pushing forward every day. My story is about resilience, creativity, and building something beautiful out of nothing and I’m just getting started.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t been a smooth road starting from zero in a new state with no family support came with a lot of challenges. Balancing motherhood, school, and multiple businesses while trying to grow from scratch wasn’t easy. There were late nights, self-doubt, and moments where giving up felt tempting. But I stayed focused, kept showing up, and reminded myself why I started. Every struggle became fuel, and every small win proved I was capable of more.

I’m a content creator and TikTok Shop affiliate, and I specialize in creating authentic, relatable, and engaging videos that drive real results especially for everyday products that make life easier, more fun, or more beautiful. I focus on storytelling and trust-building, not just sales, and I’ve built a community that values my honesty and creativity. What I’m most proud of is how far I’ve come with no outside help collaborating with brands that genuinely appreciate my content, and seeing my work help small businesses grow, too. I’ve built everything from the ground up while being a mom, student, and entrepreneur. What sets me apart is my heart. I show up as my full, real self. I don’t pretend to be perfect I share what works, why I love it, and how it fits into real life. That honesty builds trust and keeps people coming back, both as followers and customers.
How do you define success?
I define success as waking up every day proud of the life I’m building doing what I love, providing for my family, and growing through every challenge. It’s not just about numbers or money, but about freedom, impact, and staying true to myself.
