Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexa & Eric Cabal
Hi Alexa & Eric, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
We’re Eric and Alexa! A local Orlando family living in the town of Celebration. We are high school sweethearts and now love running a family business together. Eric served and a firefighter for nearly 10 years. Alexa is a former Disney Cast Member, two-time UCF alum, and now an HR leader in the aviation industry. Alexa earned her Master of Science in Hospitality and Tourism Management from UCF Rosen College of Hospitality Management.
We love to travel, and after having our baby, who is now a toddler, we were inspired to become BabyQuip Quality Providers. We love baby and toddler gear and know great guest service, so now we get to translate that into our rental business.
We rent clean, safe, and useful baby/toddler gear to families with young children traveling to Orlando. We pride ourselves on providing personalized service to meet each families needs for an stress-free experience.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Parents are known to juggle a lot – and we’re no different. In addition to raising our son, Alexa works a full time job. Eric recently decided to finish his nearly 10 year career in firefighting to run our BabyQuip business full-time and spend more time with the family. It’s offered flexibility we never dreamed of as a first-responder family.
As you know, we’re big fans of BabyQuip. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
BabyQuip is a baby equipment rental service that allows families to rent baby and toddler gear for travel. We offer a variety of baby and toddler gear items, including cribs, strollers, bassinets, high chairs and more.
As a local BabyQuip Quality Provider (QP) we build our inventory specifically for needs of families visiting Orlando. We deliver and set up the gear. We love providing personalized service and offer to help families choose the best products for their children. We keep up with the latest and greatest products and brands and make sure everything is top notch. We only rent items that we would be comfortable using for our own baby or toddler. We’re also incredibly familiar with the Orlando area and share that knowledge to visitors. Alexa’s expertise in hospitality and tourism and Eric’s expertise in safety (combined with parenting experience) are the perfect combination for being more than gear delivery handoff, but truly a service enhancing the vacation experience.
What does success mean to you?
This has changed for us over the years. Now, success for us is a focus on family – time and happiness. This is a family business that even our son gets to enjoy – he’s our personal product-tester and best little helper.
We prioritize family first in our own home, and bring that into our business as well. When our clients visit Orlando, they are also focusing on creating positive family experiences focused on time and happiness. That’s typically their definition of a successful vacation – and we aim to provide a part of that through our stress-free gear rental service.

- All items are priced per day
- We offer packages for multiple items
- Most of our strollers are cheaper than renting in the theme parks – plus, our strollers are comfortable and popular brands
- Example: Full-size & mattress $20/day (most hotels that provide cribs are mini cribs)
- Free delivery to the Disney area. We also deliver to Universal and other areas in Greater Orlando
