Alexis O, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Give colors was born three years and three months ago. My desire and dream to paint arose from a question asked by my wife, Yarelis Rivera: What do you want to do ?, to which I replied: I want to paint!
Why did my wife ask this question?…The truth is that not everything was colorful in our lives. We have overcome many obstacles and challenges in life.
Some of them were stressful and some of them were the happiest moments but the biggest challenge to overcome was a season in which I was working remotely from home and found myself succumbing to a moderate depression due to many personal frustrations.
I knew we wanted something different for our lives but I had no idea how to start or what to do without knowing what God had destined for our lives. In the middle of that dark moment in my life, that question arose and Couleurs Paint & Designs – also known now by “Give Colors” was born.
Today along with my wife and an amazing team, we serve all Central Florida with more than seven different services. Serving to residential and commercial customers.
Give colors is much more than a painting company, we love to serve with excellence and we care about the details. We are happy to serve in a colorful way.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Some of the struggles we faced was knowing how to manage all the requests of different estimates of different locations.
Learning how to manage the financial part of a business.
Dealing with difficult customers.
We started with a Nissan Altima of 2008 that didn’t have even air conditioning 🤣 and most of our equipment didn’t fit. Omg, that was like playing Tetris.

One of the greatest advice that we can give to people who are starting in the business or are entrepreneurs is that live one day by day. Do NOT push yourself to the limit of not enjoying the pathway of building your business. See every day as a new opportunity to do better and keep developing a new version of you. DO NOT BURN BRIDGES!
