Today we’d like to introduce you to Anna Wytiaz.
Hi Anna, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for sharing your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers.
During college, I realized I wanted to open my own business, and as soon as I graduated, I worked tirelessly on that. A franchise from Pittsburgh that I would go to all the time when visiting family immediately came to mind: Bruster’s Real Ice Cream. I found a great location and met with architects and contractors to create the store exactly how I envisioned it. At the young age of 24, I opened the doors to the Bruster’s Windermere location. Since opening my business, I enrolled in a Master’s program at Rollins College and received my MBA. I continue to mentor many young high schoolers as an Owner/ Operator. I also expanded the business by outfitting a truck and taking Bruster’s mobile! We cater everything from small birthday parties to significant events such as weddings! I look forward to the future and continued success; I plan to keep pushing myself and expanding the business in additional ways!
It wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
After opening in 2019, less than a year later, a global pandemic struck our world. Trying to navigate through constant adjustments, such as issues with products and supplies, was a definite challenge I faced. I was scheduling due to ever-changing rules and regulations and safely supporting my young staff.
We’ve been impressed with Bruster’s Real Ice Cream Windermere, but for folks who might need to be more familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business focuses on scooping smiles! Our ice cream store specializes primarily in true premium quality ice cream. We make our ice cream on-site daily.
What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was always a social butterfly. I excelled in sports and school, and when it came to interests, I was interested in it all! From school plays to Varsity tennis all 4 years, I loved being active and involved.
