Hi Benji, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Growing up in Illinois, my winters were very cold except for the two weeks spent in southwest Florida at my grandparents’ condo. While on vacation, one of the things on our must-do list was always mini golf. Fast forward to 2023, after nine years in law enforcement and a move from the Midwest, I wanted to transition into something that put more smiles on people’s faces. Naturally, my mind went to something that still puts a smile on my face and the idea for a mini golf business was born.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Starting a business was an exciting and stressful new territory. The most difficult part about starting a small business has been getting the word out about who we are and what we have to offer.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Holes To Go Orlando?
We offer a 9-hole portable mini golf course for rent. We bring the holes, golf balls, putters for all ages, scorecards and pencils to your location, set it all up, and then come back at the end to pack it all up for a hassle-free event! What sets us apart is our mini golf is for all ages and ability levels. Grandparents can play with their grandkids, unlike other entertainment options. What we would like the readers to know is that our mini golf rental is not just for kids. Sure, we do many birthday parties and school events, but we have been at corporate events, beer festivals, and weddings. Wherever people gather, mini golf is a perfect fit!
What’s next?
We are coming up on our one year anniversary in November and look forward to becoming more well known in the community. When people think of party entertainment, we want Holes To Go Orlando to be on the shortlist.
